    Post [Tut] PortForwarding With Netgear

    Portforwarding Netgear

    STEP 1
ok right, get your ip....if you dont no how for vista users just press start and in the search bar at bottom type cmd then type ipconfig for xp users and other users press start and go into run then type cmd and type ip config

done that? Great youve passed the first step

    STEP 2

ok put your ip in address bar and log in your usernames and password should be something like admin for user and admin for pass or admin for user and 1234 for pass something like that if not check with your parents or phone your provider.(if your with sky the password should be sky and the user should be admin if your parents havent changed it)

    STEP 3

once youve logged on your half way there
    go into services>add custom service

in the name put any name call it rs server or something so you no what it is.

    leave it tcp

then put your runescape server port in the start put 43594 and in the finish put 43594

ok now youve successfully done half the job well done give youself a patt on the back

    STEP 4

ok now go into firewall rules add a inbound service on the service bit select your custom service that you just added then in the "send to LAN" bit put your IP not your dynamic ip.

(to get your real ip start>run>type cmd then type ipconfig or for vista users start>then in search bar at bottom type cmd then when it opens type cmd)

ok now you got your ip put it send to lan bit

leave the WAN users bit dont change anything else and click apply

ok now go and add a outbound service

select the service and in the action bit put allow always, in the lan users put single address put your ip address in there again NOT your dynamic ip, then dont change any more and click apply.

ok now youve successfully portforwarded because if you put your ip in moparscape(or any other client) and log in it will log in so youve portforwarded you just need to no-ip now which is the easy part takes 2 mins.

    STEP 5

go to No-IP - Dynamic DNS, Static DNS for Your Dynamic IP log in or register if you havent registerd yet, click add ...put your name and your sub bit that you want, leave it as DNA host (A) , then put ur DYNAMIC! ip in the ip address bit (go to What's My IP Address? Your IP is 208.116.34.18 if your unsure what your dynamic one is if uve forgotten)

then click create host at bottom

    AND SUCCESS!!!!

some notes to be aware of:

you will not be able to use your no-ip address yourself but others will ok so you log in with the local host ip 127.0.1 or woteva and other people log in with your no-ip ok

this is my first proper tut please say if it helped

    Nice tut.
    note:
you need Local IP not a IP.
start -> cmd -> type: ipconfig, and you will see your Local IP. but to go to the router page you need the default gateway IP
