How do i get other players on it?

I have a server and i can get on it, but i gave my friend the client and he says he can't get on? can anyone help me please?
BTW, my ip is 127.0.0.1 (the one to get on)

127.0.0.1 is your localhost IP, everybody has that. Go to www.whatismyipaddress.com to find out your actual IP for people to connect to. If people still can't connect then go to www.portforward.com for a tutorial on how to portforward (forward the port 43594)
