"cannot connect to server"

alright, after following to nice tutorial here http://forum.ragezone.com/f365/setup...server-572235/
i got stuck on starting the server, the client works fine, but the server doesn't.
when i open run.bat it only gives me the message:"starting server on port 43594" and nothing else, when i try connecting i get the message "cannot connect to server".
Could someone help me please?

also, if i use localhost (127.0.0.1) i come with "unxepected server response, please try to use a different world"

Hmm it's a bit hard to diagnose this without really knowing why it's going wrong. I assume you connected to localhost and used the correct port?

The fact it returned an unexpected server response makes me wonder if something in your login code is not functioning as it should

It IS a 508, right?

using galkon's, which is in the tut?

Is it log in? when you get that error, does the server report anything?

I can't help you with the info you've given me.

Although, my first thought is that you're using an incompatible client and server. Mainly because if the server's getting an "Unexpected response," that means that the server is sending back some information that the client does not recognize.
