    Compiling/Running the newest eRose source...

    Hi,

I managed to find the very last eRose source on another forum, anyway, i managed to get everything to compile fine, no errors or problems whatsoever, got it working with my database also, with the login and character servers working (used a updated narose client to test and works fine), yet the world server seems to be causing me problems - it refuses to start whatsoever and just crashes with a windows error. Anyway, if anyone could help me out it would be really appreciated as ive been stuck on this for a while now

    Thanks in advance,

    Fraser

it appears i cant post an image yet as my post count is too low so here are the details from the error...

    AppName: world server.exe AppVer: 0.0.0.0 ModName: libmysql.dll
    ModVer: 0.0.0.0 Offset: 000074a4

Ok, i did go through all my DoSql queries and changed them to match my database - i may have missed one or something possibly. Anyway ill give it a try and post back again if it works or not

ok i figured it out, i had changed list_data_npcs to list_npcs, but there was no 'level' in my database - a little fiddling around and it all works nicely.

    many thanks

ok ive got it running, but i get a trose.exe error after i select my character which i think is to do with my database - does anyone have a database that would work with this, or suggest anything that needs changing on mine (im using the old erose database, modified slightly)?

    thanks

If you are compiling the source yourself, then set the correct db name inside the source to read the proper db name.

o.O it is reading the proper db name otherwise i would even be able to see my character lol, anyway if u meant table rather than database, then i have been through all of them and made sure everything matches up - which it does so i dont think it can be that.

    thx

you have to remove the db on the Sql and exute them again and check the config files and the password
