Custom NPC doesn't say anything

Ok I followed this: http://forum.dev-osrose.com/viewtopi...add+custom+npc custom npc guide and the custom NPC shows up but when I click on him nothing happens. I'm using the osirose server files. And I've made sure everything is right, the STB files are updated, the database has all the correct info even the dialog variable which is set correctly, the con files are correct and link to the IFO and list_event.stb row, everythings there all the files are even on the server. I have no idea what's wrong, could I please get some help?

Try checking your .LTB.

Uh why check the LTB? I mean even if the LTB doesn't have anything I think the dialog box would still show up it's just that there'd be no text cause the .con controls the box and the ltb controls the text...but alright I'll check it.

EDIT: Ok I checked it and it's all there. Would it help to say that there's no [Whatever] before the guys name?

Nope, when I click on my custom npc I move towards him and nothing happens...

Basically what I did was change Arua's Fairy text and action to instead tell you to goto my custom NPC (the text hasn't been added yet because I forgot to save it, but the custom NPCs text is there and I edited Arua's Fairy's con file so that when you click Thankyou it just closes the dialog). Then I exported Arua's Fairy's luc and imported it into my custom NPC and use the AT_warp command (the reward function used on the last text of Arua's Fairy to send you to Adventurer's Plains and give you the 2 skills).

My custom npc is in the South East spawn of Birth Island because when I made these files I was on Arc files. So just tele to map 20 and the coords 5156 4717.

Try change "Custom-001-7381" to "CUST-001-10170" and next one is 10171 and so on. Remember to change the number in your CON and IFO as well. You should remove other entries you don't use in lua file.

So I should change my con's name to cust-001? Does the rose client not allow a con file to have more than 8 characters?

That should work common problem You used Purples Stb editor for the LIST_EVENT.stb and you can't cause there is a much needed row that it don't show. The Index if the right data is not there the con file won't work.

That's strange
I use my editor on LIST_EVENT.STB all the time and I've never had a problem.
I've added quite a number of new CON files at KTRose and they all work great.
Maybe it's something that is only needed with arc server files or something.

Either way i probably need to revisit that editor one of these days and make a newer and better version.

well with your editor it don't show index row, I talked to you about it a while ago but yea. it just won't load the con file if the server side stb don't have the con name in the index row.

I think what you did fixed it but I'm not exactly sure because neoncube suddenly decided to stop adding STBs to my VFS. Everything else works fine but STBs just suddenly stopped working (only one I have updated have gone missing). I've double checked the rars and they're all setup right.

That will be the difference then.
In the open source servers we don't use the CON at all except for in the client.
So we need that index row if we want to use the file in Arcturus. That makes some sense.

I've started reworking my editor a bit to include the headers and stuff. Just have to see how much time I have available to mess with it over the next couple of days. I'm pretty busy right now.

I'm using Osirose, this also happened while using the arcturus server files.

Did you test the files you sent me on your server or something?
