what the hell is XipMsgxx.res?
Rose has no such file anywhere in its structure as far as I am aware.
Are you using some sort of download manager?
If so then DON'T
Rose always fails miserably whenever a download manager is used. It is a well known and documented phenomenon.
Download it the old fashioned way.

if you want 139 then why are you updating your installation?
That will just patch your 139 to the latest version and then it isn't 139 any more

Let's get this straight.
If you update 139 using the NA Rose patcher system then you no longer have 139 OK?
What you now have is whatever rev the latest version of NA Rose is now at.
There are a LOT of differences between 139 and teh latest version, not the least of which is that 139 uses a completely different packet structure than later version.
In short, it will crash your client if you connect a later version into a server set up for 139 (rev 80)
why not just run the latest version with the dev rev from osrose? that will save a whole bunch of headaches.

Why are you telling us? If you want to play the official one then download their client and update. If you don't, then I don't care.
I have 23 installations on my main computer and 6 on my secondary one. I also have 7 different sets of server files which i keep on a flash drive....yea true but how about if i want to play the real rose then i should download the lasted version? i dont want that XD then i got 2 install i only want 1:P
What's your point?
What you want and what you need are different things.
You may only want one installation but if you also want to play on more than one server then you NEED 2 installations (unless the servers are both the same type)
The only way around this is to keep your rose installation all the way updated then run the osrose dev rev server on the same client.
Yup that's right, it will run the same client straight out of the box. no mods. No fucking about.
