as far as i can tell everyone starts of on map 22 (adv plains) as a new character which i dont think is changeable, however you could quite easily change the map that people are in within your database - all the different maps are in list_zones but be wary of maps that dont exist in your client i.e. cave of ulverick or anything eldeon unless your using a modded client or whatever

i dont think it can be done without editing the client - and i doubt its beginner level...

i dunno if this works but use the vfsnextgen an extract the maps and change the maps names 2 1 that u want and then put it bk in

Change the "structure" of the characters table. This would change the defaults for any field in whatever table you want.

It's a function that your mysql editor uses. Like I said, I don't have navicat on here because I prefer phpmyadmin, so I can't post any screenshots or in-depth information of what to do.

A table's "structure" is the list of the fields a given table has inside of it. So the structure of the "items" table would have the fields owner, itemnum, itemtype and so on. If you choose to edit a tables structure, it will bring up a list of information for whatever field you select to edit. Say we want to edit the characters table. It would show a whole bunch of information about all the fields inside of it, showing what type of data is stored inside (varchar, int to name a couple), and amongst those you'll see "default". Sometimes this may be empty, but for curmap it should say "22". That means that every new character that's created uses this number, which is Adventurer's Plains in the game. If you changed it to "1", then every new character would be warped to Zant instead.

well my character r starting in zant some where in a hill but i think its the Worldserver because i tryed a different 1 and it starting in AP perfectly so its the wolrd server i think

The respawn in on the Char Server, when user creates his character, there is a mysql request with the default values.

You just have to change the structure of the database ..
