Re: [irose] Client Editiing whit server?

Here's a short little guide for you, I'll add some links to it later.

Okay, so you open your client with a VFS editor, such as VFSNextGen, and open the STB folder of 3DDATA. There, you find the STB file of the item you want to extract as well as the STL file. So, if I wanted to add a hat, I'd extract LIST_CAP.STB and LIST_CAP_S.STL, or a weapon, LIST_WEAPON.STB and LIST_WEAPON_S.STL, and so on. After that, you'll need editors for STB, STL, and ZSC files (Keep the STB editor installer, you'll need it more than you think). Open the STB file and it'll probably be in Korean, you can translate with Google Translation and a little imagination if you really feel the need. Anyway, find a blank row, or one that has info if you want to replace an item, and enter the values (I recommend translating it =O). One of the key columns is the last one, that indicates the STL entry, which will indicate the ZSC entry. That column should be L and then the first three letters of the type of item, followed by the row number. So, if I was adding a sword on row 130 of LIST_WEAPON.STB, the final column would read LWEA130. Save it and open the STL file. Chances are that if you added the item on a blank row, there won't be an STL entry, so you'll have to make your own. If you replaced an item, navigate to its entry and replace the information. Once you're done there, save it and open the client again with a VFS editor. Go to the AVATAR folder of 3DDATA and extract the ZSC for your type. M_ means Male, F_ means female(1 means Male, 2 means Female in the textures and models), just so you know. Once again, chances are that if you added it in a blank row, there won't be an entry for it. THIS PART REQUIRES A MODEL AND TEXTURE (Models for the body have to have the bones hex edited into them, and I don't want to go into that right now), so you'll have a ZMS and DDS file, or two for body pieces. Search the row number you put your item info in, and when it does nothing, click 'Add ZMS Resource' and find your ZMS file. Scroll down to the very bottom and it should be there. Click 'Rename Resource' or w/e it is, and name it to the proper path, '3DDATA\AVATAR\(body piece)\etc. Look at the entries above it to find out the path. Highlight the newly added ZMS resource and click 'Add DDS Resource' on the other side of the program. Repeat the steps for the ZMS model EXCEPT look at the entry above it and see what the values are for the boxes in the top. Fill in the correct values and THEN press 'Save' or else those values won't stay. After that, you can save that and put the STB, STL, and ZSC back into the client, and put a copy of the STB into the server. Also, add your ZMS and DDS file into your client at the path into which you specified when you renamed the resource in the ZMS. Even if it isn't there, enter that same exact path and it will be made. Also, in your client FOLDER, there should be a folder named 3ddata containing several other folders. Duplicate the path as if it were the real client, that means making a folder called AVATAR in the 3ddata folder and going from there.

******A little side note on aligning and adding two piece items, like body armor. In the ZSC, there is the option of aligning to the right hand, head, left hand, etc. Choose the one you want to align it to. For bodies, align the top piece to the Chest and THEN FIND WHERE IT SAYS 'Mesh 0' AND CLICK THE DROP-DOWN AND CLICK 'Create New...'. Repeat the steps, but add the LEGS, not eh CHEST, and align those to the legs.

Hope that helps, it's a little confusing, but you can PM me if you need more help.
