Job Issue - Probably stupid question

I am testing out my server and I reached level 10. Time to change my job ~
When I talk to the Waren, he tells me I need to be refered by Leonard in order to be a Soldier. However, when I talk to Leonard, he doesn't refer me. He tells me what he is and how he is part of that knight group and could refer me if I wanted him to but there is no option to select refer me.

I'm probably over looking something but as of right now I can't tell what I am doing wrong.
