Port Forwarding Tutorial (for people behind a router)

    What you need:
    - login and password information to your router

(skip steps 1-7 if you already know where to log into your router)
    1. If you are behind a router, you will have to log into it to port forward for your server to work (as well as your cp if you installed one)
    2. To find out where to access your router, click on start -> run
    3. Type 'cmd' without the quotations and hit <enter>
    4. In the command prompt type in 'ipconfig/all' without quotations
    5. Where it shows default gateway (e.g. default gateway...... 192.168.1.1) the ip address on the right is where your router is located
    6. Put http://whateverthatipwasfromstep5 in your browser and go to it
    7. Put in your login details and login, most likely its
    username: admin
    password: password
    or password: 1234

if it isnt, ask whoever manages your internet at home or your workplace (doubt they'll let you in at work). if you're not allowed to access it, say goodbye to hosting your server directly on your wan ip. To host a server not directly, please refer to the other guide by Gailfriz at http://forum.ragezone.com/f291/guide...amachi-306414/ to host using hamachi. However, I personally do not recommend this method unless it is absolutely necessary and there is no other way to host.

    8. Go to the port forwarding page
    9. Add the following services in step 10
    10. Do the following settings:

    Name of service: rose-logserv
    start port: 29000
    end port: 29000
    protocol: TCP/UDP
    ip address: *your lan ip*

    Name of service: rose-charserv
    startport: 29100
    end port: 29100
    protocol: TCP/UDP
    ip address: *your lan ip*

    Name of service: rose-worldserv
    start port: 29200
    end port: 29200
    protocol: TCP/UDP
    ip address: *your lan ip*

[the following is for people with a usercp... which i assume is most of you]

    name of service: http
    start port: 80
end port: 80 (port 80 maybe blocked, see bottom of thread for more details if it is)
    protocol: TCP/UDP
    ip address: *your lan ip*

    11. You're finished :) now people will be able to access your server if they couldnt before. (hopefully!)

p.s. for people who has port 80 blocked by their ISP's, apply the following steps.

    1. find httpd.conf in your apache folder which is installed with your xampp or easyphp or wamp or whatever that runs your usercp.
    2. Find 'Listen 80'
    3. Change 'Listen 80' to 'Listen 1337' or 'Listen *yourLanip*:1337
    4. Port forward the port number you applied in step 3 (in this tut it's 1337)
    5. restart apache
    6. people can access your usercp at http://*yourWanip*:1337 now

you might want to check out my no-ip tutorial as well at http://forum.ragezone.com/f291/non-s...torial-311487/

    The connection has timed out

The server at 192.168.1.136 is taking too long to respond.

    * The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few
    moments.

    * If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
    connection.

    * If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

Thats what i get When i try to Put my Default Gateway in my web Browser!... Please help me out i'm in a broadband Connection!..

    Your IP you got from Step 5 replaces the 'whateverthatipwasfromstep5' in http://whateverthatipwasfromstep5 because it's http://whatever | that | ip | was | from | step | 5

It has to do with the IPs, seeing as you're able to get into the 'Downloading Avatar' box, it's probably that your Login Server is set to a loopback IP such as 127.0.0.1 and your char server is set to your WAN IP.
