    Problems with Evo Rose

I'm not using a router on the internet connection that I am hosting the server from...

But the computer at my boyfriends is... I don't know how I'd port forward on my home computer without a router...

BEFORE you say anything. I've tried searching and all that it came up with was solutions to router problems... :S

if you wont use router then you need open ports only in firewall(easy test=firewall off)
for router you need(not sure tho but i did and it works) to forward
    The ports are:
    29000 tcp
    29100 tcp
    29200 tcp
    80 tcp (www)
If your using the multi world, you need some more to forward:
    29000 tcp
    29100 tcp
    29200 tcp
    29101 tcp
    29201 tcp
    80 tcp (www)
    and it is written http://forum.ragezone.com/f291/mega-...l-more-214355/
    here aswell

If you don't have a router, and the Firewall is disabled, maybe the problem is something else?

...I have a router at my boyfriend's house where I try to log onto my evo server but i get down for maintnence.

I DO NOT have a router at home where I run the servers. But I have non static IP. But it doesn't change when I go to my boyfriends's house.

So, what your saying is that you run the server at your home.
You try to get on your server from your boyfriends house, and he has the router.
But you keep on getting a Down for Maintenance, or a server dead message?

Check the Server Windows if you get any connections at all.
If you don't, it's a problem with your settings.
Does your modem have a interface like router settings?
