    i dunno if it was released some where or not but oh well here it is hf :) hopefully some one will actually do something with this and release it

    Maybe some day i will release the Trose source , atleast half of it if i feel like it :P.

    Hi,

    i don't understand what's going wrong with that release ?
    In something like one hour i compile all and its running. There are few errors but its working.

    Is that with my server and the 137 client with my pre-compiled trose.exe and other stuff? OR
    is it the source from earlier on in this thread that you compiled yourself?

    i take your client but i compile all dll/exe myself & same for server file (server file from source code in this release not osrose)

    Glad you got it working so easily.
    Either you really know your way around Visual Studio or you got lucky.

    My excuse for taking a long time with it is that I converted the source to run in VS 2010 first.
    it was a serious pain in the butt to get a lot of the stuff to work that way

    Heh, nice job, I didn't know this source was working so well, I already had this for a while before the community did. But I never released it because I thought it was crap lol

    i didn't try to upgrade it to VS2010 but i will do it because i don't like all other VS ^^ ( and vs2005 is a bit old :p)
    But why do you want to make it working with osrose rev 81 ? its not better to fix problem with official server file ?

    Yes and no, the official source code is a piece of shit.

    hmm did u get through the Language Issues + u need to get missing packets , maybe war key will give u those

    I will have to ask Dragoon before releasing his VFS code.

    The files dated march 4th to 6th are the ones that I created this week. The originals are still there with modified names. I added "_old" or "_original" to the names. Didn't want to lose the originals just in case.
    The Trose.exe in this client already has encryption turned off.

    I'm not going to give you a tutorial on setting up an osrose server. there are plenty of those already available. The method is the same with any of them.
    Disclaimer: This is a rather primitive server that doesn't yet use QSD files for running quests. Not sure about AIP yet. haven't checked it.
    This is also an Unmodified server, meaning that it still uses encrypted packets that you will quickly find do not match the encryption in the client. It is very easy to turn off encryption at both client and server. I will be happy to tell you precisely how when you reach that point. Just ask here
    I upgraded that release to VS2010 as i said yesterday and i did what you said. I removed encryption from trose and from osrose emu. It seem working as official files from this release that i compiled yesterday ^^
