Site help - Notice's, updates box?

Hey, i got my own server and i see a couple of servers with an update box in news_list.php for example.

I know how to work with adding pages & Stuff, anyone can give me the Script or just a guide to do?

Server type is (Os)Rose

If your using OsROSE and you want to show updates (on a site), you should make it urself using PHP/mySQL

Yea, but how come every Updates box is the same? And any example PHP codes to do this?
