Mental is right...The ones that hacked and stole the original irose files known as Arctarus files keep them to them selves due to greed.

Take a look at the flyff section of the forums...Since the original source codes have been released there the community has grown because people are building and changing the way flyff looks through the using and changing code within the source codes to make the game better.

Another thing is all of the servers that say they have made their own items and maps actually stole them from the official rose server and adapted them to their games...I do have to admit though the only one I saw that had their own content in game was inferno rose owned by ICON and his dev. team.

Osrose is another group that has been true to their word and has created their own server files...But yet some of their team members have had the original code for years that they have based their coding off of.

These forums where designed for sharing but yet I have seen very little except for the ones that have written their own editors or given advice on how to use these programs or networking everything to make it work.

With that said have fun playing GOD to those who posses the source codes to the original irose server and client files.

I wonder how long this post will stay up because I know someone will cry about it...The truth does hurt at times.

No and yes...I have seen a lot of good people come and go through the years coming to this section that has contributed a lot of good things or has advised people on how to get things to work which is the purpose of these forums...But then you have on the other side people that has had the original source that people could build off of but not share them because they said they bought them form gravity or triggersoft...that is bull....I was around when Deebee and lilantes aka Glove and brett19 hacked the original server back in 2005-2006 and stole the files...which ultimately shut irose down and caused the birth to rosena and now roseEVO.

Few header files missing in the release that was posted here.. wont compile without corrections... pretty much looks like jibberish compared to the currents server code at dev rose.. would take some time to puzzle it out thats for sure.

This is completely untrue.
I have the leaked server and client files. that much is true. But i have only had it for less than one year.
But neither I nor any other dev at osrose have ever used any of the stuff in there to make fixes in the osrose servers.
I spent about a month attempting to make those files compile properly and just barely succeeded with the client end. There are a lot of dependency files missing from the release so these would all have to be created manually to make a working client.
As for the server files, I gave up on those long ago.
The coding is absolutely horrible. It took me over 3 hours just to trace through a simple part of the program that adjusts HP in a combat situation and even then it made little sense. The style is so alien to me it's like trying to read Mandarin without a translation tool.

WarKeyGFX is correct. Releasing this source would very likely cause more confusion than it is worth.

Purpleyouko I wasn't talking about you...you have done a lot of work on the osrose project of your own accord and you have also helped a lot of people...I thank you for that...that is what these forums was designed for.

Rose online is just written in retard++, if anybody has the leaked code, please do NOT and I repeat do NOT take that code as an example of good code. That code is super bad, it will only make your braincells die.

On another side, I will be working on an open source patcher for OsRose.
