    White textures

    Hello,

Well, the post's title mostly sums it up.

Sometimes, while playing, textures appear to be white, like if the game wasn't able to load them.

It happens randomly whenever there are new objects to load. Or at game start.

I tough it was like the issue slowing down the game when it was ran on windowed mode, but it also happen on full screen mode.

If anyone has ever had this, or know a way to fix it, would be cool to share it, thanks.

    Hij.

I've seen it occasionally. Only thing I've ever known to fix it is to restart the client or go to a different map so that it reloads the textures

    Re: White textures

Refreshing the process of loading textures like changing the game quality does it too.
But erm, its kind of annoying.

    There must be something somewhere.

I see only 2 possibilities for the time being,

The error occurs while the game loads the texturemaps on the meshes, so its hardcoded somewhere.

Or the error happens on custom meshes that have been converted with bad UVWs or whatever error they can have so the game stucks/skip them.

But checking all the shit models stored in the game would be too long, and it happens even when non-custom models are loaded.

So I don't really know for the moment.

    Re: White textures

    Fixed it.

Its both linked to the way the game is loaded, and some texture formats & compression.

Now facing some other stuffs, and I shall not open another thread I think!

Special chars are returned correctly by the LTBs, but not by the STLs.

Any ideas of how to get rid of it ? Or is it again some hard coded crap ?
