Or slower, or increase the Max level of your server without exceeding the 64-bit signed integer in experience.
There are many reasons why you may want to change the Exp:Level table.
The most pressing one is when you want to have level 200 / 220 and find that (following the normal exponential experience growth pattern) you end up requiring negative exp in order to reach those levels. Because a 64-bit integer figure cannot hold a number that big. Then you change the rate, alter the experience given by high level monsters and you can reach higher levels with less exp, and it still be just as hard to level up.
Less exp per kill + less exp to level = kills to level is the same, but maximum possible level is much higher. The quick change is, level table / 2 = level twice as fast with 1X exp. ^_^
That means more "kick ass" end-game players, because they have had 220 levels of stats to play with, instead of only 120. But unlike Premium Items "kick ass" high level players, they have actually had to work at it, instead of paying for it.
Anyone know why I can't connect to the Community Server? And how do I get the checksum to patch my client?
thx 4 sharing, nice job.
What community server, and which checksum in your client? There are lots of them.
Most obvious would be the experience table checksum... same applies to most of the client tables... put memory read breakpoint on the table / check for any references at or just before the table start. Look at the routines, you will see one summing up all the table entries and comparing it to a Byte / DWord / Quad (I've not seen them use a single Word checksum), anyway... you put an Instruction Breakpoint on that comparison, and where-ever the fixed value is, it needs to be set to what-ever the sum of the table ends up being after you have altered it.

@hednyl: ReUp? How about an attachment in the OP? ;)
Attachment 138863
@celoat: That information is irrelevant. We know gamepunks.org has been down for a long time, but that site was never required to use this tool. I was critical of the tools ability to use it, but was always comfortable once I found that setting an explicit block on all network activity on it did not prevent it's operation in any way. If it works off-line, the continued existence of it's authors website is neither here, nor there. :D
