i think i know of a way that would get rid of alota private server out there cuz theres alot, do what whoosh said and just release guides on how to do it, then the people that dont work for there stuff wont get it for the server and no one will play there server cuz they dont got all the good stuff. people should stop releasing there stuff and then there will be a lil ammount of servers with ALOT of players, instead of having ALOT of server, with a lil amount of players.

Smart, but irrelevant. These are open development forums lets not forget. Everyone is entitled to running a server here, and besides, if it wasn't for someone leaking the files, not many of us would have them in the first place. There may be a ton of servers out there, but how many of them exactly are worthy playing on? Usually from what I see, people host servers just for them and their friends, and I don't find any problem with people wanting updates for it, as long as it doesn't get to a point of begging and mindless posts in the forum. It doesn't really matter if there's tons of servers out there, many sections are like that.
All in all, I don't see a point of having a section for PT here at ragezone if you guys are more worried for your own servers. Server advertising is NOT what this section is about, it's about development, releases, etc for everyone.
100% agreed good point this forums is for sharing and releases and we wouldnt even have the server files if it werent for someone. btw who was it who released these files first?Quote:
