Re: Server setup file error
bobsolol, I still can't get the monsters/shops to show, could it have to do with my hotuk.ini file? I changed now to another one, and it is exactly the same as the other one, I can join, but I don't see any monsters nor shops.
http://pastebin.com/ivuSCsur this is the hotuk.ini-file.
Right now, I am deleting both the server and the client to later install them again.
Thanks in advance!!
Re: Server Files JobChanger 2.0
Please keep your MS-SQL installation... reinstalling that is often problematic.
There are issues with that hotuk.ini, but nothing that would cause NPCs (friendly or hostile) not to show. It's far more likely a mismatch between your server and clients field data.
Here's what I think happens if they don't match. The server creates the NPCs and doesn't see the map mesh, so gravity takes hold and they all fall through the floor into that infinite falling space.
If you don't Autostart the server, the server window shows 0 monsters, if you do and the map data is wrong, it shows the right number of monsters, but you can't see them in the game.
This server uses extra play fields not available in a standard client. To achieve that it's quite likely that the world space (location of the map within the global co-ordinates) differs from a standard client... So although I told you to copy from the client to the server (the normal correct approach) it may be that you need to copy from the servers field folder to the clients... as I don't think the example client has a field folder at all.
Re: Server Files JobChanger 2.0

Copy field and char from your gameplay folder to your PT Server Folder.
And make sure you configure everything right.

works great now, thanks to tr1pl3x1 <33
everything work great, I can login as admin and /@get works also.. just that everyhting is in portugese(?), so hard to know all the names :P
Re: Server Files JobChanger 2.0
You can probably get most of them right by replacing all the .zoon files with ones from an English distribution.
I always try to /@get via item codes rather than names... it's more reliable anyway.

But, will it work with the game.exe? And, do you know any reliable source which would fit this server? thx

Re: Server Files JobChanger 2.0

It's about the server, not the game.exe. And it's not to do with the server executable either. The .zoon files (usually) contain translations for each item from the original Korean to whatever language server you are running. Many people are lazy when making custom items & NPCs and neglect to link to a .zoon file, but that's what they are there for.

where can I find these .zoon-files? I searched through my client and the server, couldn't find any :S
Re: Server Files JobChanger 2.0
The servers NPC, OpenItem and Monster folders should have a sub-folder called zoon or zhoon full of them... unless they have been disabled in this release.
It doesn't actually matter what they are called, so long as it matches the reference in the corresponding NPC, Monster or Item file, which are always plain EUC Korean text files.
