Followed operz guide.
Edited ldata.bmp to point 127.0.0.1
Edited registry to potin 127.0.0.1
Server folder is in another disk other than PT instalation.
WHat I need to do just to connect?
Start HotukMgr.exe and dclick on game.exe on PT folder?

It doesn't work with the ePT client at all unless you hex it... which right now it's all jibberish lol

In the guide are the files you need.
Besides that, there is a new HotUK.ini that you need (can be found here in the pristontale server sub-forum (requires 20 posts)).
When you got everything up and running you need to configure your register and ldata.bmp.

OK. I got to game now but i can't see NPC and monster. ir says "Reconnect Server Main" and so on. Could it be lagged because of computer ? Mine has 512 DDR, P4 3.0 1mB cache, 128 6200 GT. Does anyone know how to fix this prob?
You need to wait a bit for them to load.. if they don' completely load then move/copy your Feild and char folders from the pt client into your server's folder... that should make it work.
mine didn't load when i was attempting it, but i bypassed it and it works fine.
i just put in computername\username
in sql the username for me is onilink, and my computer's name is 0n1l1nk, so i put in 0n1l1nk\onilink and it worked fine.

I thought i better post the soloution that got given to me (i don't get the credit) Change the server name to local host or ur computers name or SQLEXPRESS.

ah, I've got the answer :)
Just open the management tool, copy the name of the server and paste it in the box of server name in the step setting up ODBC.
It's simple, but took me a lot of time :(

@dragonwing: I had the same prob as u, but now I knew how to fix it.
You miss one file hotuk.ini for Jpclient_A. Now all u have to do is download the whole server file again:

(change ******** in the link above to "mir heros" NO SPACES)
After extracting, u copy both files hotuk.ini & Jpclient_A.exe in the folder AdminClient (in the folder extracted) and paste them in the folder of EPT client u installed. Then it should be alright for u to run Jpclient_A without facing GameGuard Error :)
does this work with the EPT client and with a dsl + router combo the 660hw series i hate it

hmm..nice guide, was able to get the server working, however, I do have one problem. Right after entering user/pass at login screen i get kicked right back to desktop. I get no error messages or anything at all, the server launcher closes too which i found odd, anywho... anyone know how to get around this?

Im really hard workin on keep trying to get my own PT server running.
It seems im gettin mad ... i red already alot of posts but no one is replying excactly... how come? Also there is no thread describing all steps from beginning until the firt startup.... cant we find a solution together? It whould be nice if there will be some ppl, i also offer my help to work out a real good explanation how u can setup ur own PT.
Now my problem, there is evrything running! The Server etc... but i cannot log in, there comes the message: con.Failed
I try to make some points i want to know:
1.) What client fit to which server files?
2.) What is diffrent btw the gm and the game client? Do i only need to change the game.exe and hotuk.ini?
3.) What ip i have to enter (127.0.0.1 or my local ip adress like 192.168.0.x) ?
4.) In what files i have to change the ip (excact file name and folder please)?
5.) Are there any ppl who wanna share their custom items?
