Already downloaded server package. Im not sure if anyone will be interested but the files are from reinascencePT. Although it have some files with chinesse names the server executable is a derivated work from the jserver files that we have, so probably the only interesting thing of it are the custom things made for that version, but nothing really new.

In my personal oppinion is a waste of time download this, mostly because the package is very unclean as its full of not-significative files, like users data and other stuff, since the user data files structure is created at 1st runtime, and also model files will be perfectly fine with just a copy from client files wich will reduce the whole server package in around 90% of size. Anyway is just my personal oppinion and probably many people may find nice have it all ready-to-run with a minimal effort instead efficient packages ;)

Really... no.
You can't say IPv4 URL ever. It really is a wrong thing to say.

In the OSI model, IPv4/v6 is a Layer 3 (Network) protocol. HTTP is a Layer 7 (Application) protocol.

IP addresses belong to the 3rd layer, and URLs to the 7th. If you change Layer 3's IP version 4 for IP version 6, the layers above won't change. It'll be the same HTTP protocol running.

So "IPv6 URLs" don't exist and are not the solution to this.

Usually application protocol are encoded in NVT ASCII, which is a 7-bit ASCII table.
To include unicode characters, the suggested solution is Punycode. It encodes the unicode character with ASCII characters (: .

Also, because my "experience" doesn't match what I was "taught", memory is fuzzy between the two.

I know what I shouldn't try to do, and also know that most of these free file hosts do exactly what I was taught not to. As (frequently) does Google and other large scale Web applications.

I suspect that what ever comes after the protocol, and domain name is down to the web server and the web browser in question. In complete indifference to the defined standards.

I can upload and download files with mixed language characters to, or from many FTP sites... suggesting they accept some form of Unicode in a URL. But FTP GET requests should always be 7-bit ASCII. (NVT, if that's what you say it's officially called) So I can only assume that modern FTP servers know how to deal with different character sets used in the GET command.

Therefore, I assume that some (maybe most) modern web servers do something similar with the HTTP GET / FETCH headers. Web browsers (which I have tried) usually seem to rely on the encoding method of the OS... so you may receive URL requests on port 80 (or 8080, or 3128 or whatever) in UTF16-LE or UTF8 or one of the ISO codepages. :$:

I was told that "Internet 2" (a work in stalled progress, of which IPv6 is the first stage) should clean that up. But as you correctly clarify, IPv6 alone is to low a layer to include that.

Okay. No more coming. It seems MegaShares are usually flooded with people trying to access other peoples shares, and have no queueing system... the SQL2000 release here is (I suspect) Warez... which we shouldn't be doing anyway. There is a free for personal use version of SQL2000, with almost no restriction that I can see, and it is also kinda "abandonware".

The free version is called "Microsoft SQL 2000 Desktop Engine" and can be downloaded from Microsoft here. :wink:

1.87.1标准版登录器.exe is not virus, and the 115 file hosting website is free.

I'm not saying it is a virus... but most AV software makes it very difficult, if not impossible to download archives containing files which flag "false positive". Ignoring AV is also very dangerous, so the warning is worth giving. :wink:

All the mirrors I've posted are also free hosts, but are in my name... so they shouldn't go off-line unless I choose to take them down. :thumbup1: (I'm not likely to)
