Hello People.

Problems I am having is to do with translation of help and advice given on the forum as to the Auto patch v2.

Several members have given replies to the many threads asking this question, sadly I am still lost in getting this to work.

ive used the search facility in many different ways to get a result, many of the threads are just dead ends and closed with no result for the poster.

here is a translation from google of how to get the auto patcher to work.


" Using Update and Folders Structure STTantra (Update k5)

How to make the Update.

Open my "Update.exe" with WinHex and seek "http" find so "http://192.168.1.39/" we will have to change the IP by IP.
Note the first IP listed http://192.168.1.39/ so if they have put their ip domain if you already have a web domain get your web domain.
For it is when we click the update in "WEB" sends us to the web in this case it does not work with domain http://192.168.1.39/

Now How do htdocs folder structure.
attach them to the already assembled and structured folders. AND TANTRAPATCHV2

Lila Color: (72) This does not change preferably. Plz

Now run: TantraPatchV2 (make sure that they use to htluacher no error is found out.)
Usually that's all back to the "Patch_Data" folder by surprise and all files are zipped covertidos
To save lives we copy these files and folders and paste it to PATCH_DATA TEST_MAINFOLD

What interests us is the list I locked red
They will realize PatchFold starts with q \ BugslayerUtil.dll ...........................
Entons all "PatchFold" we replace it with "Test_mainFold" entons all that list would be as follows:

as most of you will see the pics involved have not translated because they are pics.

the translation is not very good and trying to translate single words has not been a success.

ive spent the last week continuously editing and reediting HTLauncher, STTantra and Tantra exes with my lan ip and paths to web folder and the folders that point to the updates. to no avail.

I can connect to my web page via the server and 6 other pcs connected to the server all connect to web. I can register accounts on all pc.


I can access the ip address and follow all paths to the required folders and execute the .php files and read the ,dat files needed.

the Auto patch works but it fails to execute and read the required files i.e. HTLauncher , STTantra, the .dat files.
notify msg , web page information all work...I am now totally stuck..

ive even followed jbietz advice in 1 replie that instead of mainupdate use patchfold, still to no avail.

guys those of you who have overcome this can you share of advise on how you actualy managed it, this is all that is stopping me from continuing.

2 things.
1st It isn't a problem if it updates part of it but, not all of it. That means your files do not have the proper permissions. Check compatibility for your SSTantra.exe to make sure it is run as administrator with Windows XP compatibility if necessary.
2nd The last and final thing to remember is that with modification of your files means that most antivirus programs read these files as viruses when in fact they aren't. Hex modification of a file alters the basic code and sometimes your antivirus may not know how to deal with it and then decides to simply not allow it to be downloaded vs. allowing it and taking a chance. Make sure your files to the client is an exception within your antivirus program.

Thanks for the reply.

My specs are these. 32 meg ram server with 4 x 2t hard drives. running home server 2011 fully patched, sql 2008 fully functional no bugs or errors, usual progs like office, excel , winhex, pspad, c++, cffexplorer etc. 6 pcs connected to server 4 running xp pro fully loaded, 2 running xp home fully loaded.

Drive C is dedicated server 2011 other drives are dedicated tantra servers, 1 k3, 1k4 1 working on k5 build last drive is k6. K3 & k4 are fully functional and the 6 pcs work ok with them no probs what so ever. k5 is work in progress. k6 is now fully functional with no errors reported in logs.

patched and edited clients for k6 are tantra.ph and tantra fr 3000. web site is from here preety basic from 1 of ryndeez threads. almost completely reedited to English. All pcs can use and access web site and register accounts, sql server shows accounts added dbserver shows accounts registered, gmtool can access all accounts created.

2011 server has dedicated 2tire firewall and anti virus, firewall is closed for outside traffic on public same with anti virus, internal network or home network has no firewall or anti virus all tantra drives and files and folders have open accsess through firewall for internal or home network, ive even added them to firewall rules all have outgoing and incoming accsess through firewall.

i can use both clients on the server clients patch and go to loggin screen but both are stopped by xtrapp from continuing message reads operating system incompatable.... fair anought.

the 6 pcs connect and semi patch but cannot download the zip or exe files = fail to run. if i change the patch to just bmp files they both patch but fail to connect error says you must start with Tantra.exe.

most of what you informed me of in your reply ive gone over several times. ive an idea its a simple mistake some were but i cant see the wood for the trees ^^ maybe a misplaced ip of folder name.

quit telling people what to do also your first reply to this post is a load of pish posh the only thing the antivirus will act up on is edited executable's any other files a antivirus will ignore and don't try to dispute what i am typing as i am a computer software and hardware technician and have been doing this for over 20 years and and fluent in over 6 programming languages as for alen posting his specs that is fine if you dont like seeing them do not read this topic now if you dont have anything to contribute to this topic may i suggest you do not reply with a silly little comment me and allen have been building servers for a long time and know what we are doing and all i have seen you do is beg and ask for help yourself no offence but you need to learn alot before trying to give anybody advice now as for this problem all alen is asking for is for sombody to help him sort the patcher out as this is the only problem with the client im sure sombody out there is nice enough to actually contribute some real information and not a stupid comment help eachother for once that is what this forum was originally made for thats the end of my rant

Hi sir alan110 i do not know about the autopatcher... i cannot figure it out, but i managed to edit sttantra.exe to automatically connect. because you will need to hex it. other than that, htmessage.txl htlauncher and serverlist.bin is all you need to run the client. and regarding the specs, i admit you have better specs than i do so its just fine.

just complete this:
1. xampp to connect with mssql
2. odbc i suggest mssql2008 because that is the fix database backup
3. use pher's zones
4. use tantraph client posted by heterojeneo
5. use heterojeneo's unsecured htlauncher 6.9.0.6 GM code MONJM
6. use ryandzzz sttantra.exe
7. run it and post ss for us to further assist you.

fact: serverlist.bin client and server should be exactly the same. otherwise you will receive several errors that are hard to edit.

If you were a technician and knows / fluent about 6 types of language how come you do not understand DB programming and tantraonline? and you rant like you know everything and yet looks like a miserable wannabe? if i were you i'd leech like everyone else. nobody cares if you know all about computers.

You know... at some point jbeitz107 is right. If you have to evaluate what he is implying, it means that to check the compatibility. he is not begging or whining about anything. anyway, enough of that argument, lets get our hands dirty.

can you share how the server is set-up or any details that can help us evaluate? not the specs or anti-virus... lets go to tantra directly. how exactly did you guys do it to setup the server? i myself did some evaluations on my end until such time my server is up and completely running by just following posts from heterojeneo, jbietz107, ryandzzz, infinium, omen, kylemarvin and the others who shared files. if you are familiar with 6 types of languages then you should be ahead of us. i am not familiar in any programming language and i just followed instructions of heterojeneo in hex editing using pspad. everything is already shared. files and guides... so do some part on your own side.

@ Killa. bro I appreciate you trying to help, sadly your misunderstood, things are not the same here since we started 2008 to 2012.

To the rest of the community I ist started here on Tantra project in 2008. things were different then , it was a more open and sharing info community often with as many as 20 + more people openly sharing files, advice and partial work achieved. testament to this go back to 2008 and read the many posts on early Tantra files. in particular threads on Tantra by myself , Omen and sanity. you will see what I mean by change ^^.

to those who are interested im 60 years old ive helped here on Tantra, WYD precursor to Tantra, and RF online, World of warcraft. Ive set up servers here in the uk and game servers in Frankfurt in Germany for rf & warcraft. I do have some clues on how to do all this ( sarcasm ).

I am consevant in the following Cobal, Pascal, Forthtrain, C ++, PHP, HTML plus a few miner skills in editing. Comments ive seen reading back through the many threads, " use skill, try, search, read posts etc" I find offensive and not in the spirit of this community as it was 1st founded and set up.

read the 2008 to 2012 posts and youl understand what I mean. yes it can be annoying for lamers, leechers etc to just want everything handed to them on a plate, yes most of what people want to run a server and client is available here but every thing here is incomplete and needs work on, some of us with knowledge can work these files and be successful others cannot,

I am successful with any of the many k3, k4 files ive even added and expanded them and run successful servers, sadly k5 is incomplete and as many of you know needs hard work, that to me is work in progress k6 files on the other hand are different in that if you search there are over 8 versions on k6 sever files out there, 6 I can run after edits and logs show them running with no problems, However getting a client to connect is a different story altogether. so many different combinations of pc operating systems and different pc components build , alter how 1 pc can interact with the server.

there fore people posting there specs on what they are trying to achieve is not " annoying but helpful" some of you may be successful on a windows xp client and connecting to a xp run server is ok but try connecting a xp to a 20011 dedicated server is another thing, same as trying to run a client on a sever is different 3000fr client on server is no probs except a clo error on server connecting, yet a ph client no matter the edits even using admin status will not run due to xtrap, xtrap will still run and bypass admin control.? stopping the client from running.

many of the links to files posted in these 200 plus threads and no longer available , dead links severs taken offline or closed by federal authorities i.e megaupload. even links posted here in the last year are only available for 7 to 14 days then closed by the poster or had their status changed to private. many people here get email help and advice to their problems or get sent files privately and close their threads saying problem solved, how about these same people helping the rest of the community by posted what help or files they received.

not every ones solution to specific problems on a given set up works for all.

il continue to offer advice and support to this community and post files and help as and when I can, I can even help by team viewer or by phone, but I expect this community to do the same in reverse.

hello sir allan110 welcome back! just a few note... if you are specific on setup of k5 server and client, i have already post them. http://forum.ragezone.com/f400/help-...0/#post7909980 and here it is. to enlighten regarding the "so many versions of k6" files, i would like to affirm that, it is not so many versions. it is only k5 and the handbitsoft korea had stopped developing and we are all hanged in the air for the incomplete paroksya dungeon map (dragon cave). so with this info, creating k5 server and client only needs the following:

1. MSSQL Server (Doesn't matter what version 2005, 2008, 2012) mine is 2012
2. Apache Server (XAMPP, LAMPP, IIS, etc)
3. Server files (Posted by pher or heterojeneo)
4. Client files (Posted by heterojeneo of tantra.ph or use 3000fr)

the same old process of mounting server and client. but i suggest that you create your own clientres.txl, tantraparam.tpa (server and client), htsmessage, and don't bother editing htssetting.txl just use phers server files for english, or use heterojeneo's files for spanish/castellano).

from reading through consolidated posts, i managed to mount the server same old process with k3. only zone 26 to 34 is the new one and tantraparam.tpa. other than that, all are the same. runnig the server is also the same procedure as running k3. connecting both client and server is just a matter of tweaks on the configurations.

Ok some improvement for me...A stupid mistake I had moved the K5 & K6 server folders from drive E: to drive G:, what I had failed to take into account was this the paths in the php files for dbsrv accounts were still pointing to drive E: , a stupid mistake on my part, and I should have know better, just shows guys check ,check, check again your edits ^^.

Ok a recheck after that to make sure no probs with the firewall and antivi, rechecked router for port forwarding all ok, checked that ip address is static.

Run DBSRV, MSSG,,,,,ITEMSRV,ZONES 1 TO 10 AND SQL ALL RUNNING OK WITH LOGS SHOWING NO ERRORS. Created 2 new accounts via web register, both accounts show in sql database and dbsrv accounts, used GMTool to create a GM char and GM permissions to finalise it.

on server I can login and move from zone 1 to 10, I can summon I can whisper and open the server I can also close the server from ingame on GM char.

I can login on the server with a normal account and create chars lvl up do quests etc..

how ever with the same 2 clients running on server ported over to the 4 game pcs, the clients work they update and run, I can test the php files via the launcher web page these show a result of 2 for the normal account and gm account, however when stating the game I get as far as the login for name and pass and it goes no further for both accounts.

this goes for both K5 and K6 servers, cff explorer shows me the relevant code for whisper by gm char and when entered correctly shows as a purple txt.

so more work to be done. il post again in a few days.

Yes I have achieved getting the dedicated server running stupid mistake on my part ^^..

I have a problem I did not notice at my last post, although I can run the client on the server and login with a gm account or a normal player account, I opened the server as per instructions in the forum. I used cff explorer to check for the magic word on hex address oooe27c4 this gave me MOMJ5 for Zone 1, I checked other Zones some were totally encrypted some showed a different word.. So I made a zone copy bat and changed all the zones for the zone 1 with MOMJ5. started the server and again logged in with the gm char used the word in the correct place and used /openserver
purple txt shows above txt box so as far as I know the command worked. but in looking at the gm tool it shows the server closed ????.

I checked both client and server ip lists they both match exactly I rechecked my router port forwarding utility and all dbs and zones have the correct ip address and ports configured. I then ported the working client to a networked pc and run the client. the client ht launcher and sstantra are correctly edited as they work on the server pc and have open firewall status both external and network firewall permissions. Fom the client I can patch, check files and go to my webpage and successfully register an account how ever one it gets to login it fails, if input a wrong name im told id does not exists
I put the correct name in I use a incorrect pass and it tells me password does not match, I use the correct password then im told connect again .. ??.

So as far as I can see ive not missed anything, unless im missing vital info not posted in the forum. I decided that I need to check my port forwarding for some reason as every thing except the login to server works. I rechecked my ip and port lists they are correct, checked again in router they are correct . Ive evem dmz the router and took its firewall down. server is set with static ip address confirmed on router no-ip is used to push all internal and external connections to web, sql and server. this works as friends from all over the uk can run the client use the web to register a account and then run the launcher, they all fail at connect again.

I then decided to use a online port checking tool of which there are several versions out there. they all show that chat , web, zones 1 to zone 34 ports 3001 to 3050 can be seen, itemsrv, seen sql dameon and message server not seen DBSRV connection refused. ?.

ok ive researched this as its got the correct port and is port forwarded, connection not seen means that there is no device or app listning to the port to check. ?????strange. I do know that although we set the chat server to port 5053 it actually sets to 6053. this is shown on its command line report on startup port checking port 6053 shows it active there and not at 5053 like we set it to .

have I missed something, have I made a mistake ?. im at a lost as I cannot see were connect again messages are because DBSRV cannot be seen and returns the error to client, so client cannot connect. ive tried every thing I can to get the dbsrv to be recognised and accept access but don't know were to go now.

k3 and k4 dbsrv are shown and listening its k5 dbsrv and k6 dbsrv that have this problem for me.

could any of you guys that had the same problem as me and ive seen many threads on this who were helped by pm message can you share the advice you were given or can some one point me to were im going wrong.

hi again sir allan110, i've ran into that problem. the first issue was the router... too many ports forwarded. so i decided to change the ports on the outside as i made a different serverlist.txt. in order to forward the k3 ports using 1000, 5000-5050, 7514, 3001-3055 and 5001-5050. i forwarded the k5 ports to 1010, 7777, 6000-6060, 9000-9055 and the same port on web 80 as i used the same web and mssql server. and it all worked fine. so my online serverlist.txt contains the following:

and i didn't change the local serverlist.bin. it was forwarded automatically by the router and outside players can connect already. its just that i'm stucked at waisya level so players are moving to other server.
