Re: Problems with Translations.
Hiya Terror.
Many thanks again for a replie.
Ok situation now is this. Removed all firewall rules incoming and outgoing for all the k5 server dbs and zones, removed all rules for client. Removed all port forwarding on router. Rebooted router, rebooted server.
Reboot showed firewall clean same with router.
Rechecked all k5 files for correct configs and ip addresses, placed new port configs in router and dbl checked port addresses with serverlist all correct. Made new firewall rules for incoming and outgoing htlauncher, sttantra, dbsrv, mssg, item, sqldaemon, zone1 to zone 35.
started new noip configuration checked this via remote and its working as should. started dbsrv, mssg, item, sqldaemon and zones 1 to 34 logs show all dbs and zones working no errors.
checked via external port checker utility this shows my external ip is correct, it shows no-ip working correct, it shows web page on port 80 is correct and working, it shows sql is seen and working msgsrv, item, sqldaemon zones 1 to 34 all seen on the proper ports.
DBSRV is not seen at all message is connection refused. ive researched this message and it means no APP or EXE is listening on this port ???.
I took Terrors advice and changed the port for DBSRV but no matter what port I give it. port checkers fail to see it and report connection refused.
ive logged in with a gm char and can give the command to open the server purple txt appears above chat box so im assuming server is open, but gm tool shows server <<closed>>.
checking with port checker shows no difference to connection refused either with gm command to open the server or not .???.
running a client pc whose ip address is included in the admin txt with other ips to allow connection still can only get to server selection and told to connect again.
there for im assuming that client connect again is due to the dbsrv not being seen on port forwarding scan externaly by connection refused .
ok no amount of checking configs, editing client and server files seem to resolve this, most of my posts have all boiled down to this 1 problem I cannot resolve. ive 3 different sets of k5 server files that have 3 different commands for gm openserver. FRIX, MOMJ5 AND ME1LY. NONE OF THESE SHOW THE SERVER OPEN IN GM TOOL. although I can login on the server with a client and play a normal account or a gm account the same client ported to a client pc on the same network still can only get to server select and get connect again.
Therefor im of the opinion that I must have a file missing or a txt file missing or there is an edit I need to make that I don't know about.
it seems strange to me also that Hanbitsoft would have written these files and yet would have to open a server with a gm char ingame it seems to amateur a way of doing it, other server I have developed such as aion and rf online have a command box on server to open to the public, gms can run around in game testing the different stuff they have to check with out the server being open to public. surly Hanbisoft would have been more professional on this as well.
Well that's my situation as of today im totally stuck and can find no reason for the dbsrv port not to bee seen situation. as ever im open to advice.

Re: Problems with Translations.
hi again sir allan110. i assume that you have configured the server inn local IP since you can connect locally. if all the ports 1000 3001-3035 5001-5005 5010-5055 7124 has been opened locally, therefore you can just forward them to a public IP.
here is my config as for others to have idea.
1. DBSRV -> MSGSRV -> ITMSRV -> ZONE1-ZONE34 -> SQLDAEMON Running the Server...
2. Next is Web server IIS7 -> Start Apache only and MSSQL.DLL
3. Checking local ports on port scan: IP 192.168.81.254 tantra ports and port 80 (webserver) are only open.
4. Connect client (I use 3000fr with modified Clientres, tmb and hpk files) serverlist.bin starts with 0 0 8 at top. Server is 0 0 1 o top but with 192.168.81.254 local IP
5. Connection successful, key in the command /openserver
6. on the outside, i use a public IP and a router (cisco is the brand).
7. forwarding the IP 192.168.81.254 -> MYpublic IP in the application ports.
8. edited launcher is used + patcher and on system folder the edited HTSMessage.txl for my public IP
9. connecting public client. ( a bit slower than local) and connected no problem occurred or encountered.
perhaps in your port forwarding and configuration of public client has something missing. so check it there.
here is a sample created in GM Tool account... Nakavidya (Nakayuda and Vidya Skills). by the way. this is k5 with disabled Chat and Email

Re: Problems with Translations.
Hiya Terror.
Thank you for the reply.
Your info and suggestions were a great incite as to how i should proceed ^__^.
i can now report i have no problems what so ever running K4, K5, K6 server files and clients on a network lan, web page and login, patch and web mail all work no probs. ^__^.
However i cannot test for public server as here in the UK BT.COM will not allow a home user a static ip address and certain ports are blocked for external use . They are willing to give me a static ip address with no port restrictions if i become a business user at 3 x the rate im paying now , im not willing to go to that cost..
so my Gratitude to Terror and the others here at ragezone for the files and information enabling me to set this up and get it running even though i only managed trouble free lan.
my regards to all alan110.
