I cant figure it out where should I put in my htdocs to connect the NotifyMsg.txt version.dat Patcher.dat UpdateList.dat Tantra.dat and Tantra.exe

Well sonrio this has been explained many times and this will be the last time from me. Inside your htdocs folder should be a folder called patch and inside that foler should be 2 other folders. 1 of them is main and the other mainupdate. Inside your main folder should be the PatchFold with your compressed files created by using a program called autopatch. In the folder called mainupdate folder should be your files like the following. NotifyMsg.dat, Tantra.dat, tempTantra.dat, TempTantra.exe, UpdateList.dat and Version.dat. The UpdateList.dat and Version.dat files are created by the autopatch program and these have the information for the files that need to be downloaded from your website. Also your update.exe file needs to have your website in it in order to connect to download your files. Use any hex editor to fix this by searching for "http:" inside of it and editing it accordingly. At this point if you can't find the necessary documentation for how to do this then you are NOT searching hard enough within ragezone. All this has been answered many times before and as I have stated I will no longer answer anymore about this until you decide to find the tutorial within ragezone with all the answers. Good luck.

P.S. make sure that your UpdateList.dat file and Version.dat file have the proper version of HTLauncher in it. This can be edited simply by using notepad.

first of all thank you for your reply... as per your advice on what to do here's what I have:

TO: Readers; *this is not the STTantra.exe this is the OLD Update.exe


htdocs folder:
D:\xampp\htdocs\Patch



Patch folder:
main\Test_mainfold

*since I am testing this Old Update.exe I did not put any files inside the Test_mainfold folder, I deleted all the files inside in this folder

in this folder[mainupdate] I have the following files;

NotifyMsg.dat

Tantra.dat

Update.exe <--- as you recommend

UpdateList.dat
[VERSION]
version = 4.1.0.2

[FILES]

[VERSION]

*you noticed that I have 0 inside my version.dat and UpdateList.dat this is because I am not updating any files for now


about the http:// inside Update.exe not the STTantra.exe

by searching the http:// here's what I have

I replace all that http:// into my own IP address [basic in editing the HTLauncher]

in the picture[2nd .dat files] it is pointing all in the "mainfolder" since there is no;

P.S. if someone is reading this thread and have a working update.exe compatible with HTLauncher ver. 3.x.x.x. can you share your Update.exe?

I try to use the STTantra.exe in HTLauncher 3.x.x.x versions, it patched but the HTLauncher crushes every time, its not compatible. I have a working STTantra.exe[all credit to Leonneli] K5 files [all credit to hetero], but the files have bugs... skills, item mall, etc... ect...

You need to edit the http://tantraeternal.net to be that of your static ip address or website. Ex. http://X.X.X.X or http://yourwebsitedotcom. It has to be pointing to your website address. Most ppl use no-ip.com for a free dns pointing to your static ip address. Also you need to check to make sure that your port 80 is available to the outside world and not just your local network. There are many tools online to find out this information. Ex. Online Port Scan | Port Scanning | Port Scanner | Port Checker. This is a great site to find out if your ports are opened to the internet. But, as I have explained. All this has been answered many times. It only takes a little patience and research within ragezone to find the answers you are looking for. Some change the UpdateList.dat file to point to Test_Mainfold but, by default it is PatchFold which is the proper and easiest way to leave it inside the UpdateList.dat file. Please if you have questions look in ragezone for this information. It is very simple. The old update.exe is no different to setup as the new one. The only exception to the difference is that the old update.exe will allow your patches to be downloaded using the file check feature where as the new one has problems with this. Good luck.
