Hmm Okay, well Im planing on saving up for Maple-hosting but, not sure if that is the best, but ill see how it goes...

My first experience with Maple-Hosting was positive, recently as far back as 2 months ago it was pure shit, the VPS was constantly lag spiking, cpu load was high and even after moving me from a shitty node TWICE they failed to provide me a VPS that was worth the money.
tl;dr.
Take a risk and get a Dedi.

If I were to get a dedi it will be way more, and if my server is fail that would be a was of money, Im not to sure about taking risks...
Frantech is still moving servers i think, they're moving all there VPS's from there old servers to there upgraded new ones, i think tis like, VZ, to VMware virtualization software also i think
2 processors with better stock speeds than a single i7. I'm pretty sure an i7 would be the worse choice and isn't the i7 for high end computers and Intel Xeon for servers?
If my i7 950 can beat 2 server quality processors, I'll be impressed :)
EDIT:
I finally decided to do some research on your hosting myself instead of bashing you guys upon people's complaints. I'm trying to figure out how you can rationalize charging 100$ a month for a a dedicated server with a fucking atom processor, a processor designed for phones and netbooks and give it DDR2 RAM which shouldn't be found on ANY new computers at all. Feel free to respond whenever, I'd like to hear what you think and all of your dedis have DDR2 RAM except the most expensive one. Explain.

Um, from my experience Linux is the way to go. I used fsckvps the cheapest one and it held 240 players. However I left them because a hacker got into every single one of their computers and wiped them, and it was due to fsckvps using the same password on all nodes. -_-. Why not host at home? Might be better then a Cheap VPS, save more money to get a decent VPS or low end dedicated? I'd offer you a vps, but I am currently studying hyper-v to use it to deploy vps in the feature. (As it out preforms all virtualization tools.) Connecting to that for performance choose a hyper-v powered vps on a dual quad core.
Uh thanks for this post, I finally found my way to buy frantech, instead of vpsland. And hello darion, you never get on msn.
I was considering to use vpsland, until I saw this.
*(Goes back to google)*
I was talking about the Nehalem, the server version of i7. I should of explained it better.
Regarding the pricing on the website, It's a primary price and we can work out deals for almost any customer. We will soon be making great changes to all areas of our work including making serious changes in dedicated server pricing.
Regarding the DDR2 RAM, We expect to complete a full upgrade to all servers within a month or so. We have some amazing changes coming along but unlike other companies, we plan on keeping all of our customers up and running during those upgrades which will not affect our new and current customers other than making their servers better!
I'm sorry to hear that your second experience wasn't good, We almost never replace servers twice, if an actual problem happens with the first server AND the second server we will just refund the server in whole and apologize for the inconvenience. The whole point of moving a server is clearing it to allow our techs to fix whatever problems that are on it.
If you're still in need for a VPS feel free to contact me (morhsn@maple-hosting.com) and I will set you up with a nice deal to make it up for you. :)

the server has DDR2 memory and a processor used for netbooks and cellphones, the only reason he could possibly justify that is if he gave it a shitton of storage to use but there's only 150gb(?) on it and I don't think Dell would go as far as thinking that anyone would consider that as a viable solution for anything.

I have some space of my Hyper-V Node I was testing on, now stabilized. PM me if you'd like to purchase space.
Specs:
16 GB Ram
8 Cores x 2.93 Ghz Each
http://www.intel.com/design/flash/na...ream/index.htm (Hard Drive) 22x Fast then Sata 11
Hyper-V
100Mbit Premium
I plan to only have 3 to 4 VPS, so alot of resources around.
PM me MSN if need demo.
I say no to VPSland, because of what others said, they oversell, slow ports, old hardware, virtuzzo.

I still can't make up my mind.
Im still looking for a cheap company too, but I had the same problems with maple-hosting as darion (considering the lag spikes at times) and i'm not sure weither I would try it again.
as for frantech... ragezone and bad stories from people.
VPSland seems to be overselling, wtf is left?
Well, there was OpticVPS, but they closed down temporarily as they're redoing there servers.
You could try AutomatedVPS, they have excellent servers, fast, almost never down, only had one time when we dced for about a couple hours because none of our server admins were on to contact them.
http://www.automatedvps.com/
there abit overpriced, but again you get what you paid for
