    Nexons faulty programming?

What exactly has Nexon come to? Does it have to do with their faulty coders / codes , or are exploiters just to smart for them?

IMO, it's their programmers/coders, if they can fix the bugs after finding out about it, they should honestly be able to find them themselves and triple checking before releasing content :T

This has always annoyed me about alot of games :0 Update that's supposed to add new stuff/fix stuff and ends up adding more bugs than content (Minecraft updates sound a bell to anyone? :P)

If games would get a testing group of players to test an update before it comes out they would catch most of their bugs

With this said, i agree! Tespia for every major update (such as maple anniversaries , chaos / big bang patch , and the works)

its ridiculous how it went from advanced potiential scroll glitching to negative NPC values, to simply duping on the MAIN game. private servers.. understandable but main game? .. eh

I never understood why they don't just have Tespia open to the public, and have it running continuously... all year round. Screw opening it for major updates, leave it open for all updates so you have more input on what bugs there are.

Why bother playing the official server then? If new content is going to be on Tespia and open to the public, then people would play Tespia instead of the official servers. Not to mention, Nexon is lucky they have it only open for a couple days, or it would be really easy to get everything I need to do updates and features.

Honestly, Nexon has always struck me as a "copy, translate, and paste" company, so it doesn't shock me at all that these faults exist.

Even more lolz: Their sites just went under maintenance within the last 10 minutes or so, since I was just on their site and now they're all down :D

Nexon never seems to do what the players want, and then they end up adding what they want like a year later

    Re: Nexons faulty programming?

They even have fucking Tespia now, and they still release with glitches, and push patches with glitches in them, only to be delayed. For instance Vindictus, they DON'T have a test server, but Karok was pushed back like, 3 and a half hours. You almost can just guarantee it, every Nexon patch will be pushed back.

Other than that, EVERY SINGLE COLLECTION EVENT that Maplestory does is always exploited, the Golden Notes, Icy picks, Chaos Scrolls from that one event, they need to get their shit together.

Most people are hardcore fans. They appreciate the challenge of getting to 200 and/or becoming godly. Proof is in the fact that there are still as many players on the game, even quite a few 200s that still play. I guess I can agree with not having it public, but they should still keep it open year round or at least 4-5 days before an update is going to happen, to fully test everything. They should also look at who is actually contributing to the bug reports and who isn't, then add/remove people who don't meet the quota. Granted, not everyone is going to come across a bug, it's pretty obvious who is and isn't trying to find bugs... that's something they need to look at. It seems as though some of the "hackers" are Tespia players, so they have a headstart of finding exploits.

Its not related to being hacked, they are implementing their new refreshed website.

    Re: Nexons faulty programming?

    Yeah, it's 100% their fault.

If KMS has exploits, they fix it later on. We get those data and guess what we got the same fking exploit. If you know KMS had an exploit then we will most likely have it too.

And like the coin exploit, it's so fking stupid to not make a check about the items. Seriously are they dumb or what?

I hope this new a/b system and improved game security is better >.>

    Re: Nexons faulty programming?

Most exploits are caused by the lack of sanity checks. For example, you request some Maple XXXX item from a character, check when he gives it if it IS a Maple XXXX item. Lets see, you need to give 'sunshine' to some NPC. Check if it is a valid number before doing anything else.

the new system will eventually be exploited. just like when the HS was implemented, we'd probably have to wait a while for a bypass to go public, everything will be VIP.

I can't believe the Wild Hunter, Call of the Hunter exploit hasn't been patched since the very moment it was even noticeable. It's so easy.. I mean.. wow.
