Nexon's server are extremely secure, so it's most certainly your fault if you get hacked.
no it's not, everyone got hacked because nexon sent an encrypted string containing your password upon login failure. well in addition to the "MTS shows your username" thing that's been around since mts came out.
They removed the username in V.92 or something afaik. I didn't know about the encrypted string with password though.
Nope actually, it was still in until like v100 or v101 (Somewhere around there). Then some faggot hacker kids looking for epeen discovered it while logging pckets and released it on w8baby and gamekiller lol. It's technically still there, but nexon encrypted it after the large sum of threads discussing it. I wonder if the client decrypts it, would be interesting to see what they used lol.
Why would NEXON send the actual password back to the client? That's completely silly.
Debugging purposes? Korean hackers that modified the sourcecode? Coders that drank too much?

Mercedes isn't op in GMS, asides from its amazing mobility. I'm looking forward to Phantom, the Thief Hero. His intro in the short anime clips make him the pimp of maplestory.

I do hope they nerf the mercedes. I have a 153 merced and it hits more than my 183 DK :( it's not much faster than Thieves btw. . . or that could just be my handing, but I think that Shadowers (mine 155) are much faster with their skills.
