I too miss the old maple. The V62 and before days were the classic maple days. I myself prefer V62 > V55. I consider pirates a classic class. Anything after them like KoCs and Arans is where MapleStory took a big turn.

Simple. Save up. :) Get your own dedi. Plug it into your house or work internet. When it's big enough then get the donations and work off of that.

What i meant was this; around v55 the private server community was booming. Whenever something new was released, it would spread like wildfire. Decent servers came into existence everywhere with coders who actually knew what they were doing. Nowadays, good servers are hard to come by. Something new rarely gets released anymore and the leecher community has taken over. All servers out there are simple repacks changed around slightly, by people that do not know what they are doing. The ammount of threads with 'Looking for coder!' in the recruitment section prove my point.

you're dumb. if you saw that you had a flip phone, and you saw another person that had an iPhone, you'd want the iPhone. pretty sure you'd want the latest things with all the latest features, not some old dump that's only good for uptime.

Total BS, you're comparing completely incomparible things here.
It is true I'd rather want the iPhone, but not if it was overstuffed with 'features' which would ruin the use and, how would I say this, overal likeability of the phone.

For me, v75+ (v62 is just about ok, but I still prefer v55 by FAR), has just too many useless features to 'enhance gaming experience'.

v55 is just MS in it's purest state and it's possible I like it so much cause it was the time ppl who ran a server actually knew what they were doing, most of em.

I did not bother to read the rest of the thread, but just wanted to make my point here.

@Ontopic, I'd really want to go back to the v55 days, or at least host a v55 server or something. But to be able to run a server you need players, and players are crazy about every stupid new feature Nexon releases these days. In order to stay online u gotta update as well.

when it shows such a number as "266". does that mean that 26.6 players is on? Nope. their online system is real, and there are many players.
