Does the a/b system work?
Yes,
i took out some of it though
I remember this server had stuck issues, players had to wait for a restart to play lol.
mhm ef3 it was cause we didn't use enough ram it should not happen i guess
Or your npcs weren't disposing properly, maybe if the players used the dispose command they wouldn't get stuck LOL
Thanks, useful.
i get this error whhen i lunch channle Error ocurred during initlization of VM Could not reserve enought space for object heap could not create the java virtucal machine Help plz :(
Stuck as in you can't log in anymore and can't be dced by GM or through database? Yeah, disposing can do that try it yourself. And a maplestory private server doesn't require as much ram as everyone believes it needs. I can run a good enough server with 300 mb ram dedicated to the servers.
LOL, I have tried it myself, it cannot do that. Disposing will prevent you from doing certain actions but it wouldn't cause your character to bug or DC. And 300MB RAM isn't very much at all.
In the server i program for, one of the NPCs were being stupid and players were getting stuck after talking to it. They would then run aruond for a bit then log off and be "stuck". Only way to fix was server restart until I told the players to use the @dispose command until the NPc Coder fixed it. And disposing worked :O
Yes, but that has NOTHING to do with that fact that lack of disposing properly would make you stuck. The npc was probably flawed on its own, disposing ended the session with the corrupt npc, it doesn't mean not disposing properly was the root of the problem, the npc was probably broken as it is.
