Hi guys this is my perfected guide on how to make a v.75 maplestory private server guide. I have found many ways to make a maplestory private server and i think i have perfected it! So as long as you follow the steps closely i promise you will have a perfected maplestory private server.


First your gonna download some programs :D YAY!

Java / JDK 6/20

JCE

Hex Workshop

My SQL query browser 5.0

Wamp Server

Spudgys v.75 local host

Teh Odin Repack (you can use your own if you want but this one is recommended because its easier and safer)


Ok lets get started with the setting up!

First of all lets go ahead and replace our java files copy and paste the files from your JCE folder and "REPLACE" them with these.

C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.6.0_17\lib\security
C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.6.0_17\lib\ext
C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.6.0_17\lib
C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_17\jre\lib
C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_17\jre\lib\ext
C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_17\jre\lib\security


Ok now on the bottom if you have successfully installed wamp server there should be the icon at the bottom.If you left click it you are able to click "PUT SERVER ONLINE" go ahead and do that and do "START ALL SERVICES" it should show "ONLINE" once you have done that.Now we dont have to worry about wamp server anymore!


Now go to start up menu and type in MySQL Server Instance config wizard(easier). We can go ahead and keep clicking next keeping the (recommended) configuration style. For the account use the anonymous selection.

Once that is done open up MySQL query browser.Fill in exactly what i put.

Server Host: localhost
Username: root
Password:
Default Schema: odinms

Then go ahead and put ok.It should open up.Now we can go ahead and on the top left hand corner click file then select open script.Now go find your repack folder and click on odinms.sql once you have done that it should open . Now click the green thunder icon (execute) and it should execute the file. WE ARE DONE WITH MYSQL!

Now to work on the Repack.Unlike most repacks on this one you dont have to work on WZ files YAY!
TIME TO MAKE YOUR SERVER PUBLIC WITHOUT HAMACHI YAY!

Now lets open World.properties / Login.Properties / Channel.Properties WITH "NOTEPAD".

Go ahead and replace all of 127.0.0.1 with your wan ip you can find you wan ip from IPCHICKEN

Now we can go ahead and save them all REMEMBER TO SAVE IT!

LocalHost editing time!

Ok now go ahead and open hex workshop.
On the top left hand corner click file / open and find your local host and open it.

Now hit CTRL + H change the Type to text string.
For find put 127.0.0.1
For replace type in your Wan ip (Remember from ip chicken we went to earlier).
Leave everything else the same and hit ok.

CONGRATZ YOUR DONE WITH LOCAL HOST THIS IS THE PROGRAM THAT WILL ALLOW YOUR PLAYERS TO CONNECT TO YOUR SERVER.

Now go ahead and go to your TehOdin repack. Run these programs in order.

Launch_World
wait 5 seconds
Launch_login
wait 5 seconds
Launch_Channel

YOUR DONE YOU SERVER IS NOW RUNNING!

PORTFORWARDING

For the people that need help with port forwarding.

First you should open your router firewall control panel if you dont know how to go to portforward.com and look for your router.

Go to your router firewall

Now you are gonna add some applications add these ports with the following TPC and UDP

Protocol | Port


TCP | 3306
TCP | 7575
TCP | 7576
TCP | 80
TCP | 8080
TCP | 8484

UDP | 3306
UDP | 7575
UDP | 7576
UDP | 80
UDP | 8080
UDP | 8484

Now if this doesnt work just switch your router to DMC mode which will allow all programs this is a bit unsafe!

If that still didnt work it may possibly your Firewall just go to your firewall settings and add these ports with the following tpc and udp!

yes your wrong. Just setup a registration page and register an account.

or

go in your mysql and check the accounts table and see if there is an account that came with the source/repack

Hi Guys,i realised that there was a minor prob for this repack...
when you go into the source,and start up all the bat files,theres an error.
The error thats causing it is in the "db" properties,this is what the "db" properties looks like:

# qualified class name of your JDBC driver
driver=com.mysql.jdbc.Driver

# JDBC URL to your database
url=jdbc:mysql://localhost:3306/odinms
# credentials for database access
user = root
password = root 

so what you just have to do for those who did not use a password for MySQL is just simply remove the "root" for the password.
so it should look like this:

url=jdbc:mysql://localhost:3306/odinms

user = root
password =
