Hi guys.

I'm developing a new Maple Story v90.3 private server using Tropik as base source.

I'll also work on MapleBit after i have a usable and stable version of the game.

Changed project structure to a maven project structure.
Fixed merchants.
Fixed zakum clock.
Fixed Remote store control.
Fixed Zakum NPC.
Fixed return button at char selection
Removed custom npcs from henesys.
Fixed MTS button.
Fixed boat to Orbis
Fixed Subway to NLC
Fixed keyboard layout loading after changing channel
Fixed boat to Ludi
Added boat docking affect after entering in a boat map.
Fixed gachapon reward message
Fixed first job advance npcs for explorers.
Added npc job advance for evan and dual blades
Fixed MapleTrade and updated action packets.
Fixed spinel npc

Fixed disconects after leaving cash shop
Fixed spawn player packet on change channel and on entering a map.
Fixed Evan dragon movement
Fixed Aran body preasure skill
Fixed mushrom kingdom Violetta and PepeYeti boss
Changed MTS button label to 'Market'
Fixed NPC shops
Fixed throwing stars recharge
Removed maple faction
Fixed scripts of Ravana Boss, golden temple 100%

Many npcs to fix.

I'm quite enjoying to develop on v90, so probably i will continue this.

New bug fixes:

  • Fix mobs not dropping quest items.
  • Fix Aran skill body preasure not applying damage to mobs.
  • Fix starter pack items stats, they are no longer 5 all stats.
  • Characters with less lower than 10 cannot teleport to FM using Market button.
  • Exp Rate is now 1x for characters with level lower than 10.
  • You must finish the Aran quests to create an aran.
  • You must finish the Evan quests to create an evan.
  • Cygnus characters no longer start in Maple Island.
  • To become a dualblade you have to be a rogue level 20 and talk to the NPC InkWell in FM.
  • After second job the job advance will be automatic.

As far as I know this is a development forum where you have to show progress on your open source projects, not "show-off".
Haha, but this is my progress so far.
I didnt know it should be only open source, and I might release the source soon anyways.

While I do agree all developments presented here should be open source, rules say they aren't.
All he need to do to keep this "show off" thread here, is post a few code snippets.

I suggest pushing for section rules change instead of bashing him for something he is not doing wrong.
Don't let anyone discourage you, I encourage you to make your development open source and make a repository on GitHub for it.

I will keep this private for now because i'm hosting a server using this source, but i'm willing to release in future.

Update about the source:
I'm still working on it and still have a lot to fix, but i will keep working until i see a version with at least all jobs advancement gms like!

If I remember correctly, when I developed on tropik, is there were a lot of exploits and ways to hack. Make sure you go through and patch these up before you open a game. Also, SPMO was pretty broken.

This thread is fairly old and irrelevant for the links, thus why there's a release thread with links available for download. The link in this post was a link to his server's website. I mean I never personally used Tropik myself, I've only looked around at the code because it's been useful at times, but didn't know it was actually that broken.. dang.

I touched on it for only a few weeks to an extended month and found the following to have moderate to major issues:
-SPMO (from what I saw)
--Merchants
--Correctly spawning players
-Skills
-Mobs freezing and not dying
-Massive memory leaks
-Tons of exploits and hacks
-Keymaps didnt save properly
-Channeling and CS was broken
-Quests all broken
