[Help] Client Connecting to server files

What are thethings i should do to allow the client to connect to my server files? Almost all guides in this forum only teaches how to configure the server files. can anyone kindly post a guide here? thx in advance.

Thx Kameleon20 your guide is nicely written, if i would want to get my server online without port fowarding (using hamachi) is it possible to connect to my server with my hamachi ip? Reason is because my ip changes everytime my modem is restart.

Eg. set realmlist <hamachi ip here>

yes. then use that ip. but also do not forget to set that also in your ascent-realmlwtf as ip.

Sry for posting too much XD.There's 2 things i wish to clarify:
1.The 1st time i login there's no maps are available for selection. Hence, i could not get into game. (i followed ur guide Step 6 and vmapextract_v2.exe became "not responding" . Is Windows Vista a problem?)
2.The second time i login it says that my account is a "full retail account & prompts me to install the retail client, stating that its not compatible. Besides buying the CD is there any other way to get the retail version of client?
EDIT: I found a burning crusade client, is it compatible with season 4 server files? If no, would you mind giving a link to the client? ( Btw i'm using Apple's_Ascent_4.0 files)
