first i have a quest : why we don't use NCDB?
and answer : because it's so hard to transform main database to ascent one

u can update ascent database of ncdb here

how we can transform maindb to ascent db?

we need database.sql and web installer

1. create 2 dbs in sqlyog (Ex. NCDB & AscentNCDB)
2. extract database.sql to NCDB
3. extract ascent.sql (from web installer) to Ascent NCDB
4. edit config.inc.php (from Web installer/include)
5. transform db by using web installer
6. upload new sql db file to your forum
7. at last we can try NCDB like other DBs
8. and we are thankful

not many of us are proficient at maintaining or even installing a website to do the conversion from the global database to the ascent database. I truly appreciate walla and his team's work on the database but I wish there would be svns for just ascent, wemu, and mangos independently.

Hi everyone.. i got this problem with WhyDB how do i extract all the files at the same time? and when i execute for example NCDB it gose reeeeeealy slow.. and i wasn't even finished after 9000 sec.... when i try to use tool.bat in Whydb it says unknow file location please help a noob in need :)

me at the first time i extract one by one thne only that file what it is upgraded NCDB it is one file and every time when you want to upgrade you db you must to upgrade all db no just one table

but how do i extract WhyDB ? i can't use tool.bat i get an error saying it's an unknow file location.. shall i extract it one by one? But the problem is that it goese really slow too... can you maby dump your whole database and hock it up on filebeam or something?

me i extract one by one it take like 3 min it's not slow

But i think somethings wrong with my navicat cause it takes sooooo long for it to finish... if i for example download a Repack and extract that it's much faster

i use SqlYog

Once you have the NCDB set up correctly it's very easy to convert the database.sql file to Ascent and it takes about 10-15 minutes to convert.
