hi there...it seems when i encounter kael tas in tempest keep , after i kill first officer the fight is reset'ing...

Yeah it up to ABD to fix those problems ofc, its there DB. I'll keep posting the latest Rev's of ABD, but they dont come daily.

The other fixed DB is only fix for a few big bugs that really needed to be fix to be able to play. Thats why i posted a "bug fixed" ABD rev138. Now u can update this like normal with the new rev's that come out.

If u find really big bugs, like not working NPC's, weard Working NPC, double spawns of NPC's. I found a few and I'm cleaning WOW from the inside by Playing, walking around and see if anything is wrong. Fixing stuff along the way...

Thats gonna take some time so i'll post a new DB ("fixed again") when its done.
Just keep updated with latest rev's for now, and keep posting the bugs. I'll fix em along the way

hi. i found quest bugs. which is the "cluck" quest, when we got the chickens the item they want, then we will get an egg, and the quest will never be completed.. And a quest at stormwind. the girl who wanted us to flex for her and will receive an item after we did that . We wont receive the item after we did flexing to her... Are those bugs?? Good luck in fixing it vizualG. i'll post more if i found them.. thx

yeah, the Chicken Quest has an even "bigger" bug.
Its not supose to be a Quest at the chickens yet, you have to say about 100X /chicken to a Chicken to get the Quest from it...

And the other Q, i'll take a look when in SW...

The server crash when i log my character into the world, any reason for this?

Using r4541 and ABD138 (fixed one... 300~mb)

I can log into server. I can get to character screen and create a character. The crash happens when i log the character into the world. It shows an access violation error.

Tried twice now, exactly the same crash at exactly the same place.. weird.

yeah that is weard, Are u using the 2.4.X character DB, Vmaps, Maps.
and what windows are u using?

I downloaded all of your stuff and installed it following instructions. I took maps/vmaps from my mangos server(which runs great). Just wanted to try out ascent since i heard good things about it.

Running windows xp sp2, 1.7ghz, 1gb ram.

I just got into the server and actually ran around about 20~ seconds then server crashed.

Im running european version of wow so im using the enGB 2.4 character thingy.

yeah, but you also need to use the Ascent 2.4.x DBC files, Maps and Vmaps for it to work ofc...

The mangos files are not compatible

oooh yeah, a new version is comming a little later.
I'm bugg fixing it with some patches i found, and gonna updated the Moon++ and LUA++.
Also gonna see if there are more LASP files to add, and post a new ABD rev...



EDIT: Also working on a fun server, instand lvl70 with 61 talent points and 1000G on player create(C++).
And got some SQL's for all spells on startup...

Right now im downloading the vmaps/maps from this thread :)

All other files are taken from here, i "assumed" the maps/vmaps were the same for mangos/ascent but maybe they arent, i really hope that is the case! Would be fun to see ascent up ad running.

the maps/vmaps are not the same for mango's and ascent.
I tryed this myself once and found it out for my self.

Had mangos at first, then found ascent and tryed to play on it with my mangos files (DBC,Maps,VMaps). And the server keeped crashing and giving weard bugs.

Then i re extracted all the files needed for ascent and everything worked again

K the server isnt crashing now, thats a step forward.

A new problem has arrived however, i can make a character run around a little then i get disconnected from the server (note the server has *not* crashed). However when i log the character back on i fall through the ground and end up in this never ending fall...?

Ive been using the .start command which puts me back where i start, i can stand or run around for 5 seconds then the above repeats itself...

so in youre Ascent folder u now have the maps/vmaps/dbc files?
Because falling trough the maps usualy happens when u forgot the maps/vmaps.

The first thing i noticed on this server was that there is no intro-flight (like in the retail/mango server). Its really weird, i got these(from the start of this thread):
