[Help] Changing skin color

what I'm trying to do is make a purple gnome. I've been able to get the color by editing the numbers in the Data section of the characters database, however this also messed up the model a little bit (eyes, hair). Maybe I'm changing too many numbers, I don't know, or is there an easier way to do this? I would assume it would be possible to change the tint of the skin without altering/messing up the model at all...:scratch:
