I seem to be having problems with the DBC file extractor... any help appreciated!

Hello

THe problem im having is related to the DBC extractor failing to properly initialize. I'll tell you what I did and what happened step by step.

1. I extracted the 3 dbc extractor files (extract.bat, MPQE.exe, and SFmpq.dll).

2. I copied all of the files to my enUS directory in my WoW client folder.

3. I clicked extract.bat

4. An error message popped up saying: The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135). Click on OK to terminate the application.

Is there an alternative or a way to fix this?
