[MaNGOS] friends can't connect

Alright so I got it all set up fine, I can connect over the LAN with my local address 192.168.x.xxx but I can't get my friends to connect over the WAN so here's my settings maybe someone can see what I've been doing wrong:

system32>Drivers>etc>hosts-file:: 127.0.0.1 <external ip>

Mangosd file: LoginDatabaseInfo = "127.0.0.1;3306;root;ascent;realmd"
WorldDatabaseInfo = "127.0.0.1;3306;root;ascent;mangos"
CharacterDatabaseInfo = "127.0.0.1;3306;root;ascent;characters"

realmsd file: LoginDatabaseInfo = "127.0.0.1;3306;root;ascent;realmd"

I was told these 2 files Mangosd and realmsd we're not to be changed.

Mysql Table>realmsd>realmlist: address: <external ip>

enUS>realmlist.wtf-file: set realmlist <my dyndns host>

If I change realmlist.wtf & MySql table>realmsd>realmlist to my local address 192.168.x.xxx i can connect LAN

I'd like an answer to this too please. Have a friend with the same issue, he's not sure how to solve it either. We've tried pretty much everything.

You need to have your friend(s) set their realmlist.wtf file to your global IP, which can be found here.

www.whatismyip.com

Have them set to that, and it should take care of your problem. ^_^
