Worth the wait was wondering for awhile if you gave up on the project ;)
If I gave up on this project there would be a large font post to make sure everybody understood. Responsibilities just stop me spending as much time on this as I have in the past...
@michi616 - did you read the first post? This works at my pace, not yours...

It would be most appreciated if you could offer a bot optional patch.

Re: - MaNGOS ~Amber~ Releases 3.x.x
As Akreao point's out the bot is hosted by Blueboy on his git repo, my issue with patches is the lack of support they often suffer from over time and more importantly the impact on the core stability when using patches so inclusion in my repaq requires my trusting in the code to not impact the core and the possibility I will have to get my hands dirty at some point fixing the structure changes as the core code matures and the patch developer dissapears to get on with real life e.g. exams as I hate dropping patches I perceive as essential to successfully running a small private server. Whilst the bot has plenty of plus points I'm concerned about the inevitable lag issue when a client is used on the server machine with the expectation it will function ok. Perhaps I need educating as to why this is 'essential' to the repaq as I'm always willing to learn something new...

Try the Search Function....
Step 1.) Create an account then on that account create a character that you are going to use as the auction house bot. Call this character ahbot or something like seller so you know what it is when you look it up in the db.This character will be the auction's owner for all the items created by the bot.
Step 2.) Log in with this character and then log out.
Step 3.) Now edit mangosd.conf
These are the settings in the conf file you need to find:
AuctionHouseBot.EnableSeller = 0
AuctionHouseBot.EnableBuyer = 0
AuctionHouseBot.Account = 0
AuctionHouseBot.GUID = 0
Change them to this:
AuctionHouseBot.EnableSeller = 1
AuctionHouseBot.EnableBuyer = 1
Now click on ambergui and then mysql then characters then characters again and find the toon you made for AH duty...
note the guid and account numbers...go back into your mangosd.conf and enter the info for that toon...
AuctionHouseBot.Account = info
AuctionHouseBot.GUID = info
After that go back into your db and click characters then click Auctionhousebot in the minitems boxes put 50 in all 3 spots and in the maxitems put 200 in all 3 spots this seems to work fine.
save and restart your realms ...Thats it!:<:

Re: - MaNGOS ~Amber~ Releases 3.x.x
I have been poring over this thread and others for a few days now getting my 3.3.2 up and running smoothly. This is the first time I have attempted anything of this sort so it took me a bit.
@shivajiva101: Incredible work, everything installed great and it runs extremely well. Many of the small issues I ran into were solved by your documentation once I noticed several of the RTFM posts and did so. Thank you for taking the time to not only do the work but also do the updates/fixes and respond to questions.
@kubilius: I want to thank you specifically as well for the many helpful posts in general and the AHbot ones in particular.
@everyone else: Thank you folks with issues as many of them were similar to the ones I was creating myself. Thank you folks who answer questions over and over so I could eventually find out what I did wrong.
I am running this on the following PC:
Windows XP Pro 64bit
AMD PhenomII 3Ghz quad
8Gb RAM
4Tb HDD (multiple drives)
I mention the specs because with it running the server, 2 realms, and 2 clients on it locally it is only using 2% CPU capacity (including all my background stuff). This is nicely low resource coding. Thank you for that.
All I have left to do is get the LAN clients able to log on and play. I think the issue with that is version mismatch as they are all running 3.3.5. I am switching one to 3.3.2 today to find out.
Thank you to everyone again for your various contributions to my family having a blast on our own realms.
