well has any1 figured out how to change the rates? i've played in some servers and forsure they have different rates, been trying to figure it out, looking threw mysql and mangos files looking for it, changing the rates in mangosd dont do notting so trying to find something that will

I'm still wondering about all the "blocked from an action only avaible to the blizzard ui." messags that always pops up. After a while the game becomes almost unplayable becasue the menus like training no longer work.

alright guys i fixed my rates!

this is how i did it, im not sure which 1 was it but o well i got it fixed

u go to
C:\MaNGOS\v7624 and open your mangosd.conf and change your rates to your desire
then you go to
C:\MaNGOS\v7624\server2 and do the same as the first 1 except now this is server 2,
and note 7624 is your main one, as v7689 is just the update

next you go to your update version
C:\MaNGOS\v7689
open up your mangosd.conf and change it to the same settings as u changed 7624
and do the same to server2

example:
Rate.Drop.Item.Poor = 100
Rate.Drop.Item.Normal = 100
Rate.Drop.Item.Uncommon =80
Rate.Drop.Item.Rare = 40
Rate.Drop.Item.Epic = 30
Rate.Drop.Item.Legendary = 20
Rate.Drop.Item.Artifact = 10
Rate.Drop.Item.Referenced = 5
Rate.Drop.Money = 100
Rate.XP.Kill = 100
Rate.XP.Quest = 100
Rate.XP.Explore = 100

now you can change your rates to any you like as server 1 and server 2, and to remove the server type as pvp

you open your mangosd.conf and look for server settings
and you'll see game type, now go all the way down to the server settings and change it to watever you like, the server setting should tell you what game type you want

0 = NORMAL;1 = PVP; 4 = NORMAL; 6 = RP; 8 = RPPVP
# also custom type: 16 FFA_PVP (free for all pvp mode like arena PvP in all zones except rest
# activated places and sanctuaries)

example:
GameType = 0

now for this, you can change any of the rates this way, it dont only have to be

now i hope this helps! i took my time on working these things out credit to me if possible :) and it kinda seems no one on here would really give a good answer to this solution

ok, now that i figured out how to fix the rates, my next 1 is the lvl, how do i max the lvl? i want to make it 120 or 255 just for fun, but even i would change it, it would say

"loaded 800 level health/mana difinitions"

anyone know how to change the max lvl?

does it have windows compatibility issue? when starting mangos.exe i got error message:

the application failed to initialize properly (0xc0150002). Click OK to terminate the application.

no problem for me on XP (SP2) , vista ultimate x64 (SP1) or windows 7 x64 RC (7100)

all run okay

or probably software incompatibility, i dunno i can't tell exactly. i just can't start the mangos.exe, it always shows with that error, i got winxpSP2 and dotnet 3.5. can anyone kindly give me a "mangos.exe" alone, so i can try to check if it's the file or the OS that has a problem. tnx

upgrade to .net 3.5 SP 1 must solve this issues.

i'm using Windows 7 RC # 7100 and works fine, running about 2 weeks..

Does anybody know if the events in the blizzard calendar works on this server?
Apparently it's Children's week now but I didn't get any quest when I talked to the person mentioned in the Blizzard calendar.
Would be nice to know if the events work or not.

I have a question, i installed the server and everything, and I am able to start my realm serve. But, when i start my World 1 server, i get this error message

Note, in order to change the max level, one also needs to change the default stats for the various levels. Since the existing stats only go to 80, increasing the max level, results in the server looking for the respective values for the levels above 80....since they do not exist, the stats for level 80 are used, hence the response

To correct the problem, you must go to the 2 tables in the mangos database (player_classlevelstats and player_levelstats) and create the additional stats for the levels above 80. I must warn you, this must be done for every race on a class by class basis. I had previously created a level 80 character with proper stats on 2.4.3, but havent tried it on 3.0.9. I expect it to behave the same. The error appears to be the same that I received in 2.4.3. Once the relevant level stats have been added, so long as you dont exceed them, you won't get the error.

The problem is, what exectly do you put in the stats? I used a linear approach, just continuing the existing level stat increases in a linear manner. However, I see that WOTLK lvl 70 - 80 characters have an exponential increase in their stats, which means they get ever larger as the sequence continues.

Hope I'm making sense here, but check out the tables, check how the stats for each seperate characteristic increases and continue the sequence.

I played with the blood elf paladin and necromancer and there was only one "difficult" quest,in ghostlands.

sounds like you have a issue with one of your UI addons , disable them all and try again

you can also use a progam wowmatrix that searches and updates the addons to latest versions

you should only have to modify the mangosd.conf in the folder coresponding with the server version you are running .. the amber.ini will tell you what version the GUI is firing up

Thanks for the tip wowit, but I get those error messages about blizzards own addons like the callendar addon and blizzard time manager addon. I don't have any third party adons isntalled.

can we have patch 3.1.0 atleast plz? :P

ahhh .. i randomly get the calendar addon error too , but its so random for me i cant get to the bottom of it yet, when i get the first error i just disable it and play away with no futher problems

you could try deleting your WTF file and see what happens , maybe a file is corrupt ? (havny tried this myself as yet
