@silvermcd - Ive already got that stuff but what I need is for someone to install it into an apache server adjust all the settings to match ambers default then create some forum content etc so its ready to insert into the release with a sql dump of the tables it uses compressed into an uploaded file that you supply the link for!

The new Amber GUI just crashes, a lot less stable as the old one. (I just copied over the new exe and had no problems but as soon as I copy over and replace the new .ini it goes all wonky and does not fully work (no server options like the Apache and MySQL). Once I delete the new file and replace the old one everything works fine.
I have also found another bug with the GUI. When you create a new account and after you type you password and hit tab to type the password again to confirm it skips this and goes straight to the email field not he confirm password field. Also the GUI could be tweaked a little in this area to allow the name of the field not to be so close the input field (if you know what I mean)

My probleam is when I try to start REALMD , console always display " can't start appliaction, because appliaction to set correctly' , have anyone can help me . Thx!!!

@skyzoids - reload your .netframework and update it to latest service pack, your framework is corrupt!
@zoid - maybe you should do same as above...bug in the account creation tab...nope I made it that way to focus attention to entering the second password correctly, sorry if you dont like it.
Oh its not that I don't like it its just I'm not using it being designed like that. The only other thing is the text input field is a little too close tot he label as it overlaps a bit. I have the latest Framework but I will update it as it most likely needs it not that its corrupt but close enough for it to be annoying. A clean install is what is needed as all the updates over top of each other makes things rather messy. Oh a new version of Directx 9.0c (gets that as well).
I still get some SD2 error after applied those 2 sql files. Anyone else having these issues ?

Yes we all still have SD2 errors but at least the files are applied and we don't have waypoint table missing errors anymore. Search SD2 forum for fixes if it bothers you too much.
I have ms update so all software is kept current...this means you also must always use the very latest .netframework and check windows update for fixes.

@danikopp This server is far from complete as shivajiva outlined on the first post. Its still a work in progress so we all need to just wait and let shivajiva work his magic.
@skyzoids Did you edit both the realm addresses or just one? You need to edit both the Realmlist and patchlist and save the file. Not sure if you have to set patchlist but I did and have had no problems connecting.
It still not working, the extractor of maps give errors and if i keep going with the installation can not get in to outlands, please fix the extractor system because the lprevious release the 2.4.3 works excellent, this one not.
I will say it again for those who refuse to understand...
include\ad.exe in each release comes from the sourcecode contrib folder for that release. This means its the code compiled that the mangos developers saw fit to use with that release and is the one that will work to whatever extent they required it to at that point in time! This doesn't mean its without errors...
Now that is defo the case for v7372 as we all got the errors being complained about! Fortunately by v7476 the devs had resolved the extraction errors. Here's the output...

I have had no problems with the maps extracting at all only just 3 or 4 had a bit of a problem (mentioned below).
Just an idea that I have had here. If your getting the errors:
Can't find area flag for areaid 2304
Can't find area flag for areaid 1536
Can't find area flag for areaid 462
Can't find area flag for areaid 1568
Could you not just use the Blizzard Repair Tool to Check the files and then try and run ad.exe? As I'm getting these errors also and I don't think its ad.exe at all but my client. Most likely I have those files missing so it cant extract the needed data if its not there.

Anyway I was having the same or a similar problem as they where so why I replied and I have tried using the repair tool to fix it but still cannot get it to extract 100% without problems. Your using the GB client and I'm using the US one would that make any difference? Looks like they are just warnings and nothing major. Dunno if its worth reinstalling the client or not just for meaningless warning that dont effect the game or server.

Just wondering though... is the "The Endless Hunger" DK quest not finished or did I do something wrong here? The runeblade quests work fine it just kindda stops at "The Endless Hunger" by not being able to unlock an unworthy.
How do you do the DK quests? When i start a character there is no NPC's or nothing... I think I screwed something up lol
Are you updated to v7528? If so... no idea it worked for me. Outside of the DK have you tried another toon to see if the NPCs are around? Sounds like a DB error somewhere, but I'm not sure.
I'm using 7372 so I guess I have not update. I must have missed that update =/

I think you are making a mistake mate, the only ass i kiss is from my wife if i said thank you before is just for motivate and gateful expression but dont play smart ass and respect the people, that is part of the forum rules, the only thing i said is your release 2.4.3 was excellent but this one have issues with the extractor, bla bla bla ok, i understand but your release 2.4.3 won one sticky place in the forum and over one thousand of answers is because you did a good job, easy for everyone, no errors and not installation complications BUT if you know you release have AD issues and you keep it for download that sucks, the right way to develop is get the server pack, add the v7476 where the issue is fixed like you said and finish your job like the quality of the 2.4.3 and dont be lazy, every day new people download that defective release and will add more and more complains, fix that flat tire mate :ott1:.Quote:

The title 'smart arse' is mine for the taking as its my release n my rules, but I always look forward to the day when my users exceed my knowledge and move on to become developers of portions of the code used in the repaq...n yes that has happened...the extraction issue cannot be solved in the way you describe, try it for yourself, throw v7476 ad.exe back at v7372 run it and watch the mangosd.exe tell you the extracted files are wrong. I can only work with what Im given....we cool now bro or have I misunderstood?
@skyzoids: Don't set your patchlist as default as that maybe why you can't connect. Set it to the same as the realm address and it should work with out problems hopefully.

well now that I have updated the server and patch it to the latest version I have yet to have any sort of problem which is great, I really should have took care to read your first post rather than click the first link without reading the rest as I would have seen the patches.

just a thought...have you altered your realmlist.wtf file to point to the server e.g. set realmlist localhost
if not ur trying to connect to blizz where none of the accounts would be recognised. Im sure you are aware the location has changed from the root of the client to the localised subfolder in the Data directory and remember not to use the launcher but a shortcut to the clients exe.
I have changed the realmlist and i've insert my server ip (localhost)... I use the wow.exe, not launcher.exe... Maybe is the game version... 3.09 but I have the DVD version (7gb) of wotlk... Help me pls

Yeah, the quest line dies out there for me too. I'm guessing it's just due to it being a work in progress. I went in and and customized the first couple of quests to give the DKs all of their quest gear. That's just the temporary solution for me until the the new update comes out and the quest lines are finished up. :thumbup:Quote:

There are no account's one the DB ...
don't worry about the errors, it doesn't mean the server is broken just that the db data is bad. These errors will be fixed with a new release of acid or manually by searching SD2 forumQuote:

I have found @ times you can copy over your entire WoW folder to another directory, as long as the patches sync to the release. Just update realm folders ect.

For anyone who is having issues extracting the maps, try the following:
- put ad.exe in your WoW folder and run it from there. It will extract the maps and create a folder called maps. Copy this folder to your Amber Mangos install location (you will need to move the files to <install path>/mangos/Data/server1/Wotlk). You can confirm this path by checking your mangosd.config file and look at this line -> DataDir = "../Data/server1/WOTLK"
- Make sure that your WoW installation folder is named "World of Warcraft". I did notice that if this folder is renamed, the extraction doesn't work correctly (I have multiple installs for different patch levels).

3:i test it only on the raid where rangaros liar when you die there its say to you
release spirit and its not go to the one who res you or search for you body
in the same place you die you come with ghost you cant res your self from find the spirit or from this woman who res you withqut something -25% because you will stay in the same place!!!! where your body are but you cant res!! dont know if its on other raid too.

5:if you use skill with runic power he need to use 40 he use all what you have on runic power(death knight)(besides the skills not working yet)

Guys drop item is bugged, even when u change in mangos drop item file and u put "poor item drops = 1000" the only thing it makes is giving u more bags but armor + wepons drop is still very low and dont change no mather the number u put... its like 0,25% of a blizzlike. The only drop rate that actualy works is the epic items. How can i fix this? Some help plz?

Managed to get the server to work on localhost but for some reason it keep terminating the Apache. Anyone know whats wrong? Log shows unable to connect 0.0.0.0.80 The only thing I altered was that realm.wtf file in Data/EngUS directory. The rest of the stuff like World Servers, SQL, etc working seamlessly except this darn Apache.. Can't view website on http://localhost.
BTW, can I delete the older directories such as 7372and 7476 ? I did the updates to 7528. The older 2 directory files total around 900 meg plus and if theycan be deleted would save me that much HD space.
Last nooB question, where can I find a list of commands like GM, etc.
