Hi there, I set up everything installed it properly & I updated the database to the latest. When it starts up everything seems to start fine but then apache gives me this error message.
Apache.exe: Syntax error on line 65 of.
I tried to start up everythign which I do World 1 will not go on for some reason. When I log in I can connect but it says the realm is offline. Do you think you can help me out?

I've downloaded this pack ( version 3.3.5a ) installation go ahed w/o problem , it work , server is up , i can login , i can do all i think.
THe only problem is that the boss fight just with melee attack , i look at scriptdev2 files , they are scripted.
Example :
Karazan bosses are scripted at 70 - 90 % , but they still do only melee attack.

Hi all! I just finished installing this repack, and gotta say it's great! I am having a problem with the aggro not working though. I've tried changing the settings in the mangosd.conf and still I can walk right up to the creatures and they not attack until I right click to attack them. Anybody tell me what I've not got set right? I'm using everything that comes in this repack. Thanks for any help....

This pack is not without bugs, and some DK quests are not written until the end, you will need to skip them with "GM" command like ".quest complete #questid".Quote:

I'm trawling thru the posts on mangos forums...Warden patch looks good but needs adding to gui, AHBot is still working courtesy of antiroot, jail is a non-starter so thats out...Playerbot compiles so its in...next is a website

Your correct in your assumption that i'm getting bored, mainly due to the creeping feeling that were being kept on a treadmill, I've been doing this long enough now that I've seen the devs modify the core resulting in a breakdown of the patches that bring the project closer to completion for a given version twice. First time you go with the necessary to take it forward line, second time leaves me wondering wtf...
Nvm I have the patience to watch it happen one more time...that may take it into 4.x.x hopefully.
I will make the src code available for the project anyway when I finally step off for a savvy user to base a new project on.

Shiva,... I am certain that I speak for many when I say that your work on this project has been amazing and of a high calibre. It is not unusual for anyone to get bored with a never-ending task, though. Blizzard is a business, and they make their own paying customers run on a treadmill as well... Regular updates, changes, etc are all designed to keep their business interest strong and profitable... So it is not surprising that you have become aware of being trapped on a treadmill.Quote:

I get this error "Unhandled thread exception" whenever I try to create an Account using the GUI and I can't crate an Account using Navicat because the password column is Encrypted.I've searched the thread and found people that have had the same problem in the past and solved it themselves but they didn't have the common courtesy to post how they did it in case others ran into the same problem so help please?

Hey guys, I just need some advice on setting this server up to have friends outside logging in. I can log in from my LAN no problem.
I followed the instructions in the /doc, and I'm still with no luck.
I'm running Win 7 64bit, closed my firewalls, opened ports in my router. I ran ( cports ), and they are open. I allowed all rules in the firewall setting in Win 7 just in case.
Ports that are open:
8085 TCP and UDP
3724 TCP and UDP
80 TCP and UDP
The only thing I changed as indicated in the /doc instructions is the:
- address in realmd db from 127.0.0.0 to blackrock.no-ip.info
- added these in the etc/hosts
<external IP> blackrock.no-ip.info
<Computer IP> blackrock.no-ip.info
I did not touch any settings in the following files that shows 127.0.0.1 because if I do, when I start Amber GUI, it just shuts down and says it cant connect to db.

Have I missed something?
Update: From outside my network, I'm able to ping blackrock.no-ip.info.

heya guys, i have a question.
i have an mango's 3.3.5a server,
some of the players on it have an 2 people mount like mammoth etc.
but the second player cant get on this mount. because the mount-arrow/thingy doesn't come up when they point at it.
do you guys have any idea how this can be fixed?

So i have a small issue that i hope someone can help me with, i created a "Fun server" where all the rates were ramped right up and you could get really great items from world drops and even some custom items which could be farmed and made it possible to solo HC 25 man dungeons with all the gear and yet it still be a bit of a challenge, then yesterday i went to reset all the rates to normal and redo them, and i stupidly STUPIDLY without thinking grabbed my mangosd.conf from server1 and pasted it into server2 and didnt even keep the original one, now i have tried to fix it by going through and setting every thing to read from server 2 but i seem to be havving issues getting it to boot up again, can anyone email me their mangosd.conf from server 2 that i can just make a few adjustments to to get my realm working again? it's really frustrating because i do host mine for a few of my friends to play on and they dont want me to tamper with the "Blizz-like" realm that i have because we are all working really hard at keeping that in good shape.
If you can email me the mangos.conf from server 2 that would be great, you dont need to send it as an attachment just as text would be fine :D thank you in advance

1. How, or is it possible, to update the amber setup here after getting version 10771, to a newer release such as YMDB 14.5? I've found the trunkes for the newer releases on the website listed in the doc's folder for Amber, and downloaded them, however I'm not sure how to proceed to import them correctly. If anyone's been through this updating UDP and YMDB, please do tell. Aiming for a 95% or better working WoWLK server~!

while importing ( importing ytdb_0.13.5_r557_mangos_r10245_sd2_r1749_acid_r304_jail.sql to n ... )
it show this err in next line ( error: app failed @ exitOK check! please report bug! ).
and a new windows it contain ( update failed! launch uninstaller? ).

Some DK quests doesn't , try GM commands to end quest.

Folks I'm impressed that you kept this thread running...seems like I might have to roll my sleeves up and muck in! Seriously tho we have recently seen the biggest division in the mangos development team giving us a fork with purist dev's sticking to the established and well beaten path of perfection before advancement and the dev's that want to see advancement to Cataclysm and beyond, with scriptdev team currently supporting both but with doubt's as to how long the latter can be supported.
It seems logical to work on providing you folks with a solid WOTLK release with Playerbot included to hone the synaptic paths as I need to create a faster repaq method, pricipally outputting the iss script to compile the project rather than its contents and hand modifying the original script to reflect the changes.
With that out of the way it would be trivial to prepare a Cataclysm release...
Your thought's are welcomed and feel free to let me know who is still around and interested :)
I have been watching this thread for two years now,... waiting to see if Shiv might get interested in things again.... This was one of the better emulators. Not because it had no bugs (it had some) but because of simple things like working AHbot, and the mini program Shiv made to easily keep the server up and running... oh,... and it didnt hurt that it was easy to install!
If I could get any wish.... it would be to have Shiv get a Cata compatible emulator going - so, if the path to that is to first work on WOtLK...so be it.
Comment noted. Im tied between the purist's and the adventurist's but obviously if I want momentum the latter is the path. Picking up the project after some months has some daunting elements with +5k lines of code in the gui and +3k in the installer routines plus changes to the core makes it a little difficult. I'm having lots of fun with the fact I'd stopped using meaningfull variable names and shifted to indirect referenced indexes for all the multiserver stuff due to the fact it was crystal clear in my mind at that time. Ironically it looks like someone else's code who does it way better than me! LOL

i would have to say this server is one of the best i have found i have found some bugs but nothing i have not been able to fix as i was playing i would say i would love to see a 4.x.x server

Not interested in a Cata upgrade here. Amber is awesome and exactly what i'm looking for. I'd go so far as to say, leave the installer alone and maybe just make interface for updating the core and databases without needing a new release of Amber. Not sure if i'm just out in the outfield with that idea. still pretty new to the whole idea here. On another note a webpage for adding and editting single items would be great. Maybe the webpage could be found in the miniserver page. one could select the db to edit, entry number and fields. That'd be super sweet. Thanks for the updates though...looking forward to what's next.

in mysql the table is named wrong (bot) in the end. I fixed this and now it says

Try the Search Function....
Step 1.) Create an account then on that account create a character that you are going to use as the auction house bot. Call this character ahbot or something like seller so you know what it is when you look it up in the db.This character will be the auction's owner for all the items created by the bot.
Step 2.) Log in with this character and then log out.
Step 3.) Now edit mangosd.conf
These are the settings in the conf file you need to find:
AuctionHouseBot.EnableSeller = 1
AuctionHouseBot.EnableBuyer = 1
AuctionHouseBot.Account = 7
AuctionHouseBot.GUID = 7
After that go back into your db and click characters then click Auctionhousebot in the minitems boxes put 50 in all 3 spots and in the maxitems put 200 in all 3 spots this seems to work fine.
save and restart your realms ...Thats it!
I just done this.. and still auction house doesnt list any items.. or when it does.. its just one level 70 items.. no low level.. trade or junk items.. i can not understand what seems to be going wrong.

However I can connect only locally. People outside can ping my IP but they cant connect. They are stuck at REALMLIST Selection.
I tried all possible sollutions - been working on this fix for over 1 week but nothing.
Anybody can help me with it? Somebody good in WOW Setup - Perhaps I`ll give you TeamViewer - and you check FAST? :(

Did you set the IP in the realmlist table to your external IP? A lot of people tend to overlook that one.
Nevermind, just saw you configured the IPs using Navicat.
The error is in the configs (I think, since I am using arcemu so cant really give you a great answer) I had this also, tho on ArcEmu

I think this project has been dead for awhile now, too bad, is the best wow project on this board. It's the ONLY private server around with a professional installer and config setup. Shame it's dead :(
After doing Perfect World servers the past couple of years, I came back to play wow again and thought, this should be nice....but upon downloading this from filebeam and running the exe, I got tons of junk that I had to scramble to delete and clean off my computer. Guess I will compile and make my own just to be safe.
This looks great, but I have a problem. I have the 3.3.5.a client, and have set both realm files to 127.0.0.1, but whenever I launch the client using the AmberGUI interface wow tries to update to the next patch. How can I prevent this please?
