i suspect it uses multi core as when it crashes and reloads i see the load on both cores (core2) hit high numbers

Possible Restore Issues - Sadly I recently lost the hard disk in my WoW server, so I had to restore from the only uncorrupted backup file I could get both a characters and a realm db for (v8286, so not that bad) - lost all of my own changes, but I can live with that as at least my users still have their accounts and all of their characters without having to redo too much...
I installed the full 8286 release and restored the two files using the GUI - no issues and everyone could log in without problems.

THEN I used the update patch to get to v8415 again.
Every time I do this, I get the same error
"ERROR 1054 (42S22) at line 2: Unknown column
'required_8030_02_characters_character_action' in 'character_db_version'"
This is while running patch file: C:\MaNGOS\v8415\updates\characters2\fix_characters2.sql.
Once I click ok, the patch completes installing without any problems - I have checked the database and it does seem to include all of the fields from this patch, so I think it ran anyway.
Everyone can still log in (although one of the DK quests that WAS working doesn't any more, but they will have to live with that for now) and has all of their characters, the only issues when starting the world1 console are to do with the guild information and it fixes that on the first startup.

SO, how can I tell if the patch actually worked? If it didn't work, am I going to hit an issue with a future patch and have to go back to this point again potentially losing a lot more data?

Apologies for rambling on, but I am a little concerned as the first time I used this patch (before the disk crash) I didn't get this error.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Amber has only released to v8286.

If you downloaded UDB updates yourself then you need to download and recompile the mangos core program files to match your new database version.

Actually I used Shivajiva's 8286-8415_update patch as downloaded from his repository at filebeam and also found on the first post of this thread.

You should download it and give it a try.
(My own issues excluded, when I was applying each patch from a MUCH older Amber release before my disk crash it worked without any issues, so you shouldn't have a problem with it). :mellow:

And when I start World 1, a window appears and starts loading. I ran the update and get the same error you have.
It is not an issue with your database, the source code has issues
and was ignored. Your files are fine.

Does anyone knows how can I make second and more Realms on the Amber Repack? In the 2.4.3 version of the repack it was from the realmd.cfg file, but now it's changed. It's like only the info about the options and the values and you don't scroll down like before, you must scroll left or right know. I also can't understand what is it exactly saying because of that.

I'm having some problem with the GUI. MySQL and apache seems to be starting up just fine. Realm starts up as well. But when i click on world 1 or 2, it does nothing. When i try to start world 2 however, it flashes a green faces, before it quickly changes back to red, and displays this in VERY rapid text that i had to try a couple of times to get into a screenshot.

Screenshot attached, could someone tell me how to fix the problem?

Starting from [8589] MaNGOS support only client version 3.2.2A (10505) at master branch (Client 2.4.3 still limited supported at mangos-0.12 branch)

You need update DBC files.
You need regenerate .map/vmap files.
