ouch the only sad thing is that wow start off with 3.2.0 frist patch so i am kind of messed with that so i just have to wait untell the new or update verison will come out for Amber
you prob can find a torrent for 3.1.3 or any other client if you do a search
Torrent would prob be the only way to find it because it so large ~10-15 gig

The mangosd.exe is shutting down everytime I try and run it. Any ideas? Realmd.exe starts up fine with no problems. I see a wall of red text when I start up mangosd.exe but I cant pause fast enough to read what it says. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
thats because ur running world of warcraft 3.2.2 it only run on 3.1.3 client untell they can get the new one emu out

also there no way of getting a wow that has the patch 3.1.3 check every way but there not u just have to wait or use a different emu for know

I checked the log file and there was nothing listed in it. I was finally able to get the screen paused on the wall of text. It says it is missing several vmap files. I checked the vmap folder and it's full. I also downloaded a separate vmaps folder from another post and tried that and got the same problem.

Ok so I manually patched to 3.1.3. I re-installed this pack, and I'm still getting the same problem. It's still saying a bunch of vmap files are missing, and shuts down mangosd.exe every time I start it, so it wasn't due to my client being 3.2.2. Any other ideas?

Thanks for the offer mate, but I think I'm finally up and running. I re-extracted the vmaps from the WoW directory, and it seems to be running ok now. The only problem is, it seems to open up a new copy of mangosd.exe every couple of minutes, until my ram usage shoots up to 100%. And ideas why it's doing that?

Please Note: For this to work you should install this release in a different location. AmberGUI will be replaced and you will no longer be able to use it to start previous releases!
Im using a slightly different format now with the main app folder containing the miniServer as well as a release folder. This allows for the removal of the release folder whilst leaving the miniserver intact, this brings the size of multiple installations down considerably. AmberGUI has been updated to the new format and many bugs removed in the process. Changing server version creates a backup set of the current server and then imports the backup set for the selected version all using compression to save space. Its not perfect but it should be better, oh and you can run mysql & apache as services which I recommend for stability, I will get round to modifying the readme file but lets see if there's any major flaws first...
For the update I'm not sure which way to go its either create a tool that will use a backup of your existing character and realm db's from v8415 and import/update them. The catch is you will have to provide and correctly name these backups..so if the backup db filename starts with the release number the tool could use this as a baseline for finding the necessary core sql updates and would then be more useful for the folks that like to mess and may possibly have found alt sources for the core leaving themselves out of phase with the update...Ofc instructions will be provided if this is the case, or I re-sequence/modify a section of the installers code so it creates the backups for you with the possibility of corruption for anyone who has updated the core...after this much time has passed between releases it seems an unreasonable posture to enforce the latter. Perhaps someone who has updated the core/db supplied with the last release should comment...

The latest pack is not working for me. I got an error on installer that said: DB_installer: Error: Word DB import folder is missing. Any ideas about how to fix this?

Try restarting your machine before you re-install if your sure you have admin privileges as this error implies the installer was unable to create the file. Perhaps you should try installing to a different location if you have a previous release already installed as the installer may need some fine tuning, just a few ideas to get you started...Quote:

Got it fixed mate. It was in fact the restarter as you suggested. Every few minutes it would open up a new server instance for some reason.Quote:
