just wondering im not pretty sure if u already answer this but i was looking for a way to update the characters date base so i can use it in the new repack i lookup here but the updates there didnt help me there is a way i can keep the structure of the new data base and only add the data from the previous characters database?:?:

I have a question Why I am level 60 Experience Bar is missing is Max Level ? but i set in mangosd.conf MaxPlayerLevel = 100 why is gone
and i can't play Death Knight It said Requires Warth of the Lich King and a level 55 Character but i level 55 Not yet created and dreenei BloodElf is not create It said Requires Burning Crusade but i install Burning Crusade and up patch to 3.1.3 Why is this

Awesome Job Shiva!!! I have the 3.2.2a pack and its up and running but I'm kind of new to this and wanted to change some data like lvl cap and other stuff but don't know how to go about it can anyone keep it simple and let me know how to do that. Thank you all in advance.

Look the the mangos.cfg file.
It has things like sever rates etc.
I would not recommend going to far off the default though it might cause the server to become unstable and or unplayable.

Another update released from the udb team means its time to cook up another release folks so watch this space :rolleyes: After all I'll be wanting a christmas prezzie from you all :sneaky2:

Thank you nighthawk1000. Can anyone tell me how to find the instance bosses so I can try to fix them. Such as id#26632 The Prophet Tharon'ja. He isn't aggro and doesn't give the achievement for killing him. I'm going through everything and trying to fix it so certain things work. Please can someone help and explain how to do this. Thank you.

With an impending release it may be wise to check whats been fixed in UDB rev 386 BEFORE you start fixing things only to find they have already been done!

Basically if something isn't working correctly it falls into one of two categories, its either bad data in the db or a feature that needs implementing in the source code.
If its the first then you need the correct data or your solution will just be a workaround, good data sources are client cache files and sniffed packets - both requiring software tools to get at the data! Bad sources are wowhead etc where the data isn't proved and is usually the source for workarounds, if the feature is missing from the core you can forget fixing it yourself thats the devs job and will be subject to assessment from the team as to its importance in the big scheme.

If you have the skills and time to fix the data please contribute to udb forums so everyone benefits...

A few things don't work this time around but since you are doing a update soon don't worry about it.

The first one is a core problems I think?
The AH bot seller works ok but will only buy from the neutral AH.

This one is yours I think.
The auto backup in amber gui is not working you have to manually backup the dbs.

Also I am have a problem with mini manager seems to have some colums in the dbs not working?

Like I said minor you will probs have a update by the time I figure it out.

If someone can help with this I would appreciate it and thanks in advance.

Is anyone having troubles with (website) news on main page? whenever i try to add or delete as admin, it says you must select a character first...selecting a toon from dropdown menu does nothing...any thoughts would be great.

I want to start out by thanking you for all of your hard work with the repacks. I think I speak for most of us here when I say that we are amatures and really look up to you for your patience and help.
I have been hosting a personal server for a few friends for about a year now, and about two months ago I had a bad hard drive crash. With no backup of the character database. Needless to say, my friends are a little steamed at me for not having backups, but more so, they really missed not being able to play. Your most recent repack of 3.2.2a came out at the perfect time. I have new hardware in place and with just a few tests left before I go live, it looks like I will be giving my friends a new WoW server for Christmas.

I can't get the AHBot working (the server says its spawning stuff, but never actually shows up in AH o.O), but other than that, 3.2.2.a is working great!

As for the issue with the auction house spawning things but not showing up... Check a couple of things. In the mangos config file, make sure you have it set up correctly, with a dummy account and character. Also, you will need to go into the mysql database. You will want to look at the Characters -> Auctionhousebot table. You will need to enter values for the minitems and maxitems for each of the auctionhouses. I used 100 and 500 respectively. Let me know if that helps.

I am having problems making my server public. I am port forwarding:

TCP -> 3308
TCP -> 8084-8085
TCP -> 3724

And for the Web Server:
TCP -> 80
TCP -> 443

My users are able to connect to the web site and create their own accounts with no problem. But not able to log in to the server. I have no problems from the local computer, and everyone is on the same version 3.2.2a so I assume I am missing a setting in realmd or something..

Attached to this message is a JPG of my realmlist. The part that is sprayed out is my NO-IP name. Which is resolving to the correct IP address.

And my C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts file is:

192.168.1.7 <NO-IP NAME>

192.168.1.7 being the internal IP for my wow server that everything is being port forwarded to.

That being said, what am I missing? I know its something simple.

i had the same problem i fixed it by going into the mangos.conf file in the server 2 folder and changed the dataDir to be the exACT FOLDER PATH the folders were in. and that fixed it for me. if that still dosent work then copy and paste the map folders from server 1 over to server to aswell as changing the config file.


Before : DataDir ="...\Data\server2\WOTLK"

AFTER : DataDir = "C:\MaNGOS\Data\server2\WOTLK"

Prob been answered or even brought to light

Windows 7 and the 3.2.2a full program

all installed now when i try to open the actual server (amber.exe)
it shows up in the bottom right system tray but no window is open, cant alttab to it (well you can but when you release tab it still wont appear) now lil box in the task tray area to say its running ....

Its an odd one to me since i been running amber since the 2.x.x days (usually on xp) but now i swapped to win7 ... any idea's or is this new, if you need anymore info shiva just pm me and tell me what ya need and see what happens :?: :?: :?: :?:
