- MaNGOS ~Amber~ Releases 3.x.x

when I updated to 3.3.0a -a problem came up; when i start the mangosd console it gives me the following error:
ERROR:Map file '../Data/server1/WOTLK/maps/0004331.map' is non-compatible version (outdated?). Please, create new using ad.exe program.
I tried everything, reinstalled the hole thing, extracted the maps twice but no use...
Any ideas?




Sounds like your client is wrong version update to 11159 and run the extractor again...:thumbup1:
also you can download he maps if need be. go back a few post and you will find the link for the dl's.

Its coming...full & update releases when I've coded an update ini settings routine for build3 so you can catch up to me...miniServer functions re-integrated, OS detection with elevated permissions for UAC found on vista & win7, detection of running server processes at path level to stop possibility of gui attempting to control servers running outside the application folders and various other typo fixes...I'm trying to get this done in the next 48 hours or so.

Just wanted to say Thanks again!! Your hard work on this has really made this deployment in Afghan ALOT more bearable. I just wish that there was something from here (Afghan) that I can send to you as a token of appreciation. But all they have around here are rocks and IED's, neither of which would be approperiate. :P Keep up the great work!!!

hey can anyone help me is there anyway i can set mysql so i can access the database remotely like from another computer i cant seem to get it to work

Great Releases Shiva, however i have a few questions. When playing on your 3.2.2a 9110 update, my players are having trouble with a lot of quests, they get the quest but won't be able to find the NPC =O even upon using Questhelper or another Questing addon they just don't show up. Another thing, We suffer constant server crashes; Upon looking in the Logs we can never find a problem. Any Ideas?

Indeed, Forward either port 3306 or 3308 =O
or both. That will allow you to access it from another computer.

It's an issue with the database. The NPCs likely aren't there. In the database they have health values of 1/1, meaning they aren't spawned because they'd be dead (if you don't believe me, look up their IDs using wowhead and spawn them).

To fix it, just grab a program like Quice and fix the values yourself.

I downloaded the installer, ran it, it created everything, the maps the vmaps and stuff but server won't start ...

Seriously, ... I have been using your repack for a while now - easy to load no problems (well...only a few easy ones to fix). I eagerly await your next patch and the potential for 3.3.2 (if you are doing that at the same time). Starting to feel a little guilty - where do I send the cheque to compensate you for the work? Oh, my players want to know if they will lose their characters with next patch - is so..how can I easy save them?

Hi Shiva,

This is my first time of installing the Mangos release and I've run in to a little problem I'm hoping you can help with, I've search this thread and have found another post similar to this problem and have checked to ensure there are no orphaned files from a previous MySQL Install.

Below is a screenshot of the issue I'm having, which essenitally is that the Ambergui is unable to find the MySQL Host.

Have you Entered the ip's of the server into your lmhosts file
i cant think specificaly what what to enter im a bit tired set one for the lan and one for you wan give it ago no harm can be done...

You and Darksize both have the wrong version,you need to have ver 11159. Then run extraction.
your error tells you what is wrong.I'm guessing your client has been updated to the point of no return.:(:

after i create the server(using 3.3.0.11159 enUS to extract vmpas etc),is it posibble let player using chinese language like 3.3.0.11159 zhtw to log in and play?will it have any problem?

another question is how to install languages in admin panel->languages?need to upload what files?

Hello,, Shiva,can you help me , now i found the ad.exe error at AmberGUI v5127 and i knew how to extract the map in the client to sever but when i extract the ad.exe in client all of *.MPQ are correct and when processing the Extract percent reached 41% , ad.exe is error at windows dialog,,, do you have anything for solve the problem or i need to change the OS ?
