Not that I am complaining Shiva's work is worth the wait but it's been 3 weeks since we heard any news ;)
Hmm seems like everytime I make a statement about a release it comes back to haunt me! 48 hrs. turns into 3 weeks when you've got more than 6000 lines of code and you break it whilst lacing another hack in...forced me to create a plethora of classes to get the code readable...24 months of just adding code without comments to a project will bite ya on the bum eventually...plus a recode for the start/stop mini-server part of the 3 main projects of the solution was necessary. This in turn forces more testing of the solution requiring multiple runs of the installer / uninstaller with the ini file reverted to its 9183 state for each run takes a shit-load of time and patience. On the upside Ive just completed 2 runs with only minor flaws so were nearly there...apologies for the lack of info since the previous post but I've made a promise to myself never to state a time frame for a release again and I know you'd rather I crafted solutions than worried about posting blow by blow accounts of how its going...ok back to the job cya soon :wink:

Thank you for the update. Like anywhere in real life, people begin to fill information voids with conjecture or panic... appreciate your update. Anything that is worthwhile takes time, so no problem waiting for your work - confident it will be well done.
Personally, I am hoping for a few fixes to DK's,... or mobs in Northrend,... or the Water Elemental spell for mages,... or (lol) maybe even getting those guards in Dalaran to stop attacking anytime someone of opposite faction walks by (I suspect that situation was created by lack of functionality of the AreaTrigger teleport spell). As anyone can tell from reading, there are many things to look into, so a little understanding and patience goes a long way.

help me please. i have server mangos v2.3 for client Burning Crusade v 2.0.12, i need upgrade this server to mangos v9183 for client v 3.3.0a but i dont know how to upgrade?please........:?:
Are there any GUI or control panel that works with Amber's paq, because Amber's gui doesn't work with the lastest mangos anymore =(. I cannot get Prophetx's control panel to jump start the miniserver/apache...and can't figure out what went wrong. Any help would be appreciated!

is there a diff between 3.3.0a and 3.3.0 FINAL??? Cuz I've found 2 patches, one which is 3.3.0 and the other 3.3.0 FINAL.......
Another question would be how should I go about if i'm running WoW 3.3.0? Do I have to download the full installer for 3.2.2 and the updates to 3.3.0a and slowly patch the core up?

I need an information here.. i need to fully reinstall my server, but i don´t want to reset it.. i need to know exactly what DBs and/or tables i need to backup to save the Players data (chars, accounts, everything at all)..

I would think that the character DB is the most important, since your quest status and other stuff are all in there. World and realm DBs aren't that important. You don't really change their values while playing anyway. Of course, if you wanna play it safe, backup all 3 of them.Quote:

Hmm the database update didn't apply properly...try reinstalling[quick way] or you could manually apply the sql files that are in v9183\db sub-folders to the appropriate database which is denoted by its folder name...

Although there are some large code changes behind the installer/gui it should look and feel exactly the same, Ive added some checks to ensure that server control is based within the miniServer folder below AmberGUI and new platform-specific code for windows7 based on bits of feedback about the UAC you can find if you search around. Incidently you may see unresponsive warnings in 7 due to a lack of message pumping when importing large sql files, just ignore them and allow the process to continue
Definitely not perfect but with your help finding the gui/installer errors I should have it as good at it can be* within a short time frame...

i can confirm v9611_FullSetup is working on win 7 ultimate 32 & 64 aswell as 2003 32/64 will try 2008 at some other point when i fix the box
anyway UDB is so far behind with content now its untrue :/

I'm getting the following error when trying to create an account via amber. Windows 7 here. It seems the only thing that doesn't work for now. I can add an account manually but I don't have the code to hash the password which uses the account name so I'm stuck.
