how can i config the server and the game to work i installed every thing
but i need construction to make it work

Ok so you've changed the password for mysql using sqlyog or mysql console, shut the server down and then changed the password in the gui...if so they should match and connect!So this does not work for me.. I love what you have done here. The GUI is excellent and you clearly care about what you are doing here. I like the fact everything is well documented in the way of the change logs for everything that makes up your pack.
It definitely is Blizz like in every way - others claim to offer Blizz like databases but I'm always finding something messed up or modified in some way whereas yours is perfect.
If player bots were added to Amber I don't think I'd ever look at another re-pack again!

I have tried to change the password manually in all the files listed in the instructions, to no avail as it seems it does not change the password in the GUI ;

Scratch that, thought it worked but it didn't change in every file so AmberGUI Works with the new password, but everything else does not, servers wont start, minimanager/website do not work O.o Though i can access Account and Realms in the GUI now.
Easily fixed by changing the passwords in the readme file manually.

Download the file using this LINK and refer to the instructions below:
To change your db password in AmberGUI:
- Start miniServer with or without webserver[no realm or world servers running]
- Navigate to settings\MySQL
- Change password & press enter
Server shuts down and restarts with the new password & all settings files are modified using a search/replace routine with the new password. Oh I almost forgot the website dbinfo field in the realmlist table is also updated
Note:
If you've been messing with the settings files don't expect this to fix everything as the password loaded from the ini file must match the password in the settings files before the password is changed. Not tested on windows 7

I know your anxious to go off-topic but why would I devote my time to a game I've never played, it really is that simple.
If you could devote more time to learning code Im sure that you would achieve the results yourself, it just takes patience and passion.
I see there are a few teams working on a stable server so why not offer your help to one of them and speed things up...
Well, I am going to delete everything and try again one last time. The program still keeps crashing my computer and I do not know why exactly, other then it is a SQL problem. Take a look at the latest error I got before things crashed (see below)

O.k. the computer keeps crashing. So,.. I tested the Amber Mangos server on another computer...no problem there. PLUS I tested my game client by going to another private server...and >POOF< computer totally crashed again... So I am guessing that it is a video driver problem.

I ran various monitoring software and watched the heat production from the various components of my system. This is the first time I have run a quad-core and I have never really woried about heat as a problem. Guess what clued me in...? The game/computer kept crashing about 50 minutes in to play every time... and I never had any problems with any of the other typical office software that I run...just gaming software. So I run this heat monitoring software and watch as WoW runs my CPU and Graphics card temp up past 101 degrees...and >POOF< crashes the computer.
Bottom line... make sure you have a good graphics card PLUS adequate cooling. After I upgrade the system, I will post a final confirmation.

I get that same error. Off the top of my head I think you need to try extracting manualy. I got that error when I updated to the newest version. After I extracted manually I was able to get the server running but the message still apears.
I've been having trouble with the mining veins since the update to 3.3.3a. For example the copper veins don't seem plentiful in areas such as Dun Morogh like they once did and when I go to mine them they don't respawn. Also I get a new error message saying something about a player lock but this doesn't crash the server so I just ignore it.

I wanted to re-establish correct functionality for the install/detect services routines as well as colours for the log in the gui...lets hope you think it was worth manually editing more than 200 references to the log subroutine

Note: All previous versions removed to prevent double posts! If you find more errors with the gui pls post them. Moving the code to various classes and the resulting rewrite of the base code to use the classes as well as the shift from six seperate tab controls to a single tab control and resizable right and bottom edges(anybody notice? Yes it needs coding for settings in the ini to retain the size!) means some controls functionality has been compromised without it being obvious to me at the time.
