The following process should work fine.
From the GUI click the settings button, click the client tab and change the path to the WoW client to the one on the mapped network drive.
Then click on settings again to close that and return to the main GUI tabs - click on tools and re-run the extract.
It will take a lot longer to run the extract across the network than it does from a local drive - just a warning, this is going to take a while.
It will be MUCH quicker to copy the files over and run the extract from a local client.

Ya it doesn't work. The dbc and map extractor will not read off a mapped network drive, they just extract nothing and say they are complete.
I've edit the mangos.conf, and do the setings for the id of acount and guid of the player, and i've not item in the actionbot. in storm, i'll go to the auctionner, but he havent any item to sell !
ive tested the activation of the bot with a setting who not corresponding to the account of the character i've created for him, and the result is the same !

i've edited the mangos.conf with the id and guid ....... and no result !

Yea i got server up an everything and have been playing offline but i got a prob i used my admin powers to add the quest "ambush at the overlook" and complete it and now i can't get the "scarlet crusade disguise" off
.Unaura works like 10secs then its right back on me
Any help would be much appreciated

Thanks for a great repack Shiva. Keep up the good work. I just have a small problem, I used to run the 7899 version, with a few characters, but after upgrading to 8035, my characters are gone. The accounts are still there, but no characters are loaded. The only errors that show in the mangosd.exe windows is the following: ERROR:Player #5 have broken data in `data` field. Can't be loaded for character list. I assume that the SQL fields for the characters have changed, but does anyone have an idea how I can fix this without losing my characters? I made a backup of the characters before upgrading , and restored them after with no errors, but the characters don't show. Please help, I don't want to start over.

Can anyone post how to extract vmaps. I can not proceed well and therefore give error. I know I need to look first, but everything I tried did not work, and may be due to a client.
i install mangos 8035 (amber) , paladin hero get talent , Moment paladin hero logout in game and Moment again login to game all talent's is deleted.

Sounds like almost everything I did. The only other thing I can remember changing was the minitems and maxitems entries for alliance, horde and neutral in the auctionhousebot table (in the characters db).
Once you do that and re-start your world server you should start seeing some items.
Hope this helps...
Additional - You may also have to log in with the AHBOT character once - I don't know if this is necessary but I did log in as the character on mine for a few seconds before setting the AHBOT entries.

Motanu, you can find the files you need at http://wowemuf.org/index.php?topic=104.0 - Scroll down the page for the filebeam links for 3.1.3 maps, vmaps and dbc's.
You may also find a couple of different extractors in some of the 3.1.3 repacks - knowing Filebeam it may be quicker to try that

before you complete "Scarlet Armies Approach" and talk to high lord mograine you unaura the disguise off and talk to mograine to complete the quest and its gone

Can I get the source code for the AmberGUI cause i might need to fix some issues that my graphics acrd is having to render the window, and to maybe successfully convert it to Linux and OSX.

Is the database inside the v8035, with the latest gear?
Or do I have to add them myself?
I'm not sure how complete it is (whether or not "all" of the latest gear is included), but there is a database included with the full release of v8035
