Has anyone tried to create a death knight yet? I have created one, done the first couple quests (to forge the sword so it glows, release the prisoner and then kill him) but when I try to do this death comes from on high eye of the acherus quest, I cannot get the eye to take me in and fly anywhere, it comes out but it won't take me down to the town, anyone else having this problem?

It has been answered before about not being scripted yet into the core and this is correct. The way to get pass that one quest is to type .quest complete 12641
That will allow you to complete the quest to continue on.

Finally back online - Had go go away for a few days.
Just tried the 3.1.3 pack and it is (as always) excellent.
Nice to see that they are making progress with the DK class quests etc.

I've been searching for the answer to this and can't seem to find any. I am not sure if this would be the best spot for this, but as I am using this repack I figure it is the best place to start.

I've got one account that for some reason when it logs in none of the keys are bound. Not just the custom bindings, I mean each and every key. You have to go into the menu with the mouse, navigate to the settings, and click the reset default keybindings to get any movement. Once you log out and in its the same all over again.

I copied the entry in the database for that account into a new one, redid the login and pass for them, and set the id for the characters to the new account id. It worked until the server rebooted and now the same issue again. With any character created on that account, regardless of which computer the account is logged in from.

I can log into my account and be fine, then log into theirs and have the no keybind issue on that account. My account is still fine. I can't find an answer to fix this, nor to stop it from happening once the server restarts. Any help?

Updates - for client v3.1.3
UDB 0.11.5 CS381 + MaNGOS 0.13.0 v7928-v8035

i get the following error

error 1054 (42s22) at line 2: unknown column
'required_7903_01_characters_characters_pet' in 'characters_db_version'

my previous 3.0.9 _7929 mangos worked fine (well seemed to)
i am guessing maybe a update wasnt applied in a previous update ??
i have found a SQL called
7903_01_characters_character_pet in the /7929/sql/updates folder
should i apply that to my 3.0.9 7929 instalation before running the update (i made a copy of the mangos folder before trying to update)

somethings wrong....no seriously It will cause problems and suggests the previous installation wasn't entirely successful as it should have renamed that column to the title now stated as missing...pls check table in db and post what the title actually is, as this will provide furthur clues...

If you could be more specific that would be great. I'm sorry I just got back into this so I'm not entirely fluent in mangos/sql hehe. I honestly don't know which file is affecting it. I just know that making a new account row, copying the row from the old account into the new account minus name/pass, and making ownership of her characters transfer to the new account makes the problem go away, but only until a server restart. Even with a GM .saveall command ingame while the toon is active and working correctly.

I could try making a new account and only transferring character ownership to the new account, but I think it is something with the character specifically that affects the whole account that it is on. Originally, she logged out right after res'ing, and when logging back in it showed her still dead for like 10 seconds, then it popped her alive then the issues happened. There are several accounts on the server and only this one has the issue. Figures that out of all the people playing, the only one having an issue is the one I need to fix most, my fiance's lmfao.

She was only lvl 24 on a server with 10x rates, so if we can't find a reason, then I will just make a fresh account and leave it blank and have her start over. It's not a big deal, I just wanted to be prepared in case this issue spreads to more accounts. Thanks for your time.

I have a quick ? if anyone can awnser it for me, I downloaded and installed everything installed great, but I load up wow and loggon and select realm and it say's connected for about 10-15 sec's then disconnects me from server, I have went on to create multiple realms and all of them do it, can someone please help?

Hi Cruise, This sounds like your realm is up but your world isn't (or you can't connect to it).
Could you please provide a little more information.

Have you opened the ports on the windows firewall on your server? Have you configured the correct IP in your Realm DB? If you are running the client and server on the same PC then it should just work...

Have you looked at the console screens to see if you have any errors?

Sorry for the rather vague response, but there are a lot of reasons this could happen and it would be useful to know a bit more about your setup .

Hi Guys,

I will be doing a similar DK walkthrough for v8035, but in a manner in which a non GM player can complete the entire quest runs...will include auto completion of bugged quests, and teleporting to required locations after accepting quests which cannot be completed due to teleportation bugs.

It's just that autocompletion of quests changes the quest structure and introduces new problems.

Im suggesting you use sqlyog or similar to import the 2 sql's found in \sql\tools as they target possible corruption of the characters stored in the db, it was just a thought, as Im sure its not the account but her character data thats causing the problem...importing the sql's will clean all chars in db and are provided for maintainance. Use google if you need a step by step on importing sql's using sqlyog.

Is this affecting the running of the server? If not don't worry about it as the error messages are for the dev's to fix...

i am a little unsure what you are sugesting is nammed wrong..
i loaded the character db and there is a table called character_pet just seems like normal data in there..

a little prod (or a big stick) in the right direction would be appreciated...

on another tact ,,, as my current instalation is the full pack 7624 then all the updates applied i guess the failed update could of happened an any of them..
would it be worth exporting the current active characters then to do the last full 3.0.9 7899 then do the 7899 to 7928 then importing the characters back in then doing the 3.1.3 update ?? just a thought

I have some kind of problem with the latest full installer 8030 for wow 3.1.3 - during the installation process there pops up an error saing, that there was an error and fail of creating W: drive - that .. something (I can't read that error correctly) is not in naming of inner nor outer command, executable program or batch file. Than the installation wents down, the process is stopped and uninstaller comes out...

What's wrong?
