You use SQLYog or phpAdmin to do this...btw I've replied to your other post
Everybody...Installation failures are normally associated with your security software not providing a timely response to requests for access to programs used during installation like mysqld-opt / mysqld / AmberInstaller accessing localhost.
If you have UAC then try launching installer using right-click 'run as admin..' option so the processes launched by the installer gain the permission elevation required.
Extraction problems appear when not using a client that matches the version of mangos supplied, if your sure the version IS correct it points to client files being damaged or tampered with, so try checking your client source...

Questions:
1. Is it easy to upgrade to 0.16.0
2. Will I loose all my Accounts and Characters
3. Is the content in v9611 have more items and quests than v9110

Hola si mi ingles no me engaña te refieres a que al seleccionar el reino no te deja entrar al juego, verdad??? si es asi yo cambie todo por una dirección no-ip, ejemplo cambie 127.0.0.1 o localhost por nombreserver.no-ip.org y asi todo el mundo puede acceder al servidor, pero si lo tienes por lan casera entonces solo tienes que poner localhost o 127.0.0.1, espero haberte ayudado y perdona por mi ingles.

Hey if my English is not deceiving me you mean that when selecting the kingdom will not let you enter the game, right?? if so I will change everything for a no-ip address, eg 127.0.0.1 or localhost change nombreserver.no-ip.org and so everyone can access the server, but if you have at home lan then you just have to put localhost or 127.0.0.1, I hope I've helped you and sorry for my English.

No es un doble post, pero yo tengo un problema con la versión full de amber v.9611, y es que he cambiado la web que tiene por defecto por otra web que me gusta mucho mas y lo curioso es que no funciona bien con el repack de amber pero si funciona bien con otro repack de mangos, la única diferencia debería ser en cambiar los datos, pero por alguna razón da error de conexión en la base de datos,el error no esta en la configuración, esta en el método de conexión y shivajiva ha tenido que modificar datos, la pregunta es que podría hacer para hacer funcionar la web con amber? shivajiva deberia de compilar una versión que sea mas compatible con las webs?? no se haber si me podéis ayudar, gracias de antemano por todo y decir que me gusta el trabajo que haces shivajiva, felicidades.

I have a problem with the full version of amber v.9611, which is that I have changed the default web site on the other I like much more and the funny thing is that it works well with amber repack but if it works well with another repack of mangos, the only difference would be to change the data, but for some reason the connection fails in the database, the error is not in the configuration, is in the method shivajiva connection and had to modify data, the question is could do to run the web with amber? shivajiva should compile a version that is more compatible with websites? not have if I can help, thanks in advance for everything and say I like the work you do shivajiva, congratulations. I feel having a horrible English.

im guessing the 3.3.2 version wont work with the newest client 3.3.3 version? stupid question probably but im new to this. how can i revert my wow version back to the working version?
Yep, Shiva , i just found that kind of error at Mangos version v5712 with client 2.4.1 in TBC, also without TBC. Now in Mangos version v8286 with client patch 3.1.3,,, v8286 can run in my computer without errors. I don't know i think kernel32.dll can't handle the ad.exe program. Now everything is fine. Thx Shiva ! btw, where can i have the NPC id and mount id ?
Ok I have used the 9611 update. Prior to this I had changed the MySQL password. After the update the GUI can no longer recognize the database, heres what the AmberGUi log says:

I tried to change the password under the settings/MySQL tab in the GUI but it just changes back and doesn't save. I checked the AmberGUI .INI file, and it does have the new password, spelled correctly. The server all appears to load fine, but I have no access to accounts or anything else with the GUI. MySQL works fine. I wasn't using the mini server, and don't have any experience with it.
So, am I just missing something or do I just need to use the old password?
OH! Also the proportions of the GUI appear all out of whack, like the tabs on the left are too large for the space provide. I tried resizing my desktop but it doesn't help. The info inside the tabs is cut off on the right side probably by half an inch or more and some at the bottom, and most of the info in the log on the far right is also cut off. It would be nice if the GUI was half again or more in size in both dimensions when it is maximized so you are sure you are catching all the info or it could be resized like most other windows, just my two cents...

Por lo que veo tu problema es la conexión con la base de datos, puedes hacer una prueba, la instalación del repack de Amber consta de dos pasos, vuelve a instalarlo y cuando te vaya a ejecutar la instalacion de la base de datos no lo instales, luego puedes hacerlo manual, ahora dirigete a la carpeta mangos y si no me equivoco puedes cambiar manualmente los datos, ahora mismo no se que archivos son pero si me das un tiempo te lo miro y lo posteo aqui, saludos.

I'm not sure what you mean. It sounds as if you are talking of a full install, I used the update package. The only problem I am having is with Amber having access to the databases which from all appearances looks to be a problem with it not using a changed MySQL password. I do not know if this is a bug in Amber, or if I am just doing something wrong...

The eye uses vehicles which may not be implemented into MaNGOS for some time. That opcode has nothing to do with the eye, AFAIK.

When i am updating to newest revision,how do I back up and then restore my account with the characters?
Just started a level 10 hunter using Amber 3.3.2, and I noticed that when I level up, the 'Learn' button in the talent menu doesn't show. Is this because of settings, the new version, or the core? What can I do to fix that?
For those who are not sure what I'm talking about, when you're in the talents menu, you can usually L-click on one of the skills to level it up, then click 'Learn' to learn it. Mine doesn't appear, so I was wondering if this is due to the 3.3.2 patch, or something with my installation, or something with the core....
Edit: nvm....found out the cause.....didn't realize the patch disabled my 'Preview Talent' option... LoL

The patchers for Amber will prompt you to back it up. I don't think the amber patches will overwrite your DBs, but if you wanna do it manually, follow the following steps:
1. Download Navicat Lite or HeidiSQL (Personally I'll get HeidiSQL)
2. After installing, start the program and connect to your WoW DB with the following (by default):
Hostname/IP: localhost
User: root
Password: amber
Port 3308
MAKE SURE YOUR AMBER CORE IS RUNNING BEFORE TRYING TO CONNECT!
3. You should see quite a few DBs there. For each of them, just r-click and choose 'Export Database as SQL' (this is in HeidiSQL. If you're using Navicat, it may be different, but they all mean the same). If you're running only 1 Realm like I am, you'll need characters, mangos, realmd. Save the SQL files somewhere where you can get em' easily.
4.That's all for backing up! :D
For putting back values, just do the following:
1. Connect to your WoW DB (Again, make sure your Amber client is running)
2. Select any DB, go to Import/Load SQL file, and in the popup, look for the corresponding SQL file. Repeat till all are loaded in. (Again, this is using HeidiSQL)

I´ve just made a full install of your latest version (3.3.2);
Everything works, but i only can see the NPCs in GM Mode; in Normal Mode, maps is empty. And in some maps, i can see the NPCs in GM Mode but all of it are flying!

If i make a full backup in an old version, then a full restore in a NEWER version, i´m going to erase all the new data.. my question is:
How can i make a backup only my accounts and characters and all relative tables? guilds, achievements, etc.. Full Backup doesn´t resolves..
