i have a question so everything works fine im able to login and move around but the only question i have is how to make the mangosweb server public? so if they were to put in the ip i set for it, it would take them to the website but so far if they do put down my address for the link it goes straight to my router and im using dynamicdns's ip
u need to setup port forwarding on the required ports for it to load the webserver (port 80) in 1 set of the doc folders in teh files are instructions on howto setup both site and game joining properly, it can get abit confuseing but it dose actualy work the issue is ur ports not setup to farward traffic to you're lan ip from you're local ip.
depending on you're router its useual somewere located in services or firewall settings (port 80 useual is pre-setup as a serivce too on most routers but on afew you need to create it) just goto PortForward.com - Port Forwarding Guides Listed by Manufacturer and Model find you're router and find eaither http or World of Warcraft and it will give u the rest of the info u need to open the ports..
also the location of this document is in you're mangos/{version}/doc (*mangos was the default name given during installing, if u changed it just goto were the amberGUI is located and find the latest build set of files and look inside thereIF YOU USE A ROUTER MAKE SURE YOU HAVE PORTS: 8085, 3724, 80 OPEN AND FORWARDED TO THE SERVER LAN IP OTHERWISE YOU WILL HAVE PROBLEMS CONNECTING...
Ports used by default are defined as:
80 = webserver
3724 = realm server
8085 = world1 server
8086 = world2 server
etc...
for some reason after forwarding all my ports i used the port checker and it says port was not able to open im guessing it is because of my firewall i guess im stuck on using hamachi for this server

i have some problems with connection between website and db i think.. first of all ,i maked an account on website the login it's ok but ... when i try to login from game ... it say id or pw is rong .
why cant i get world 1 to start =/ please help. it opens a cmd and closes.
Do you have an error log?
open cmd and try running it through there, if it stops
it would at least stay open for you to see the error
it displays before blinking out.
how do i do that. i dont know dos commands. i tried typing in the path. and the start command, but no luck. here is the realmd.exe

its a problem with your maps do the ad.exe and build your vmaps and maps
should clear up your error : )
same dang issue. and i ran the vmaps extractor (make_vmaps.bat), when it finished the vmap folder was empty. placed in the main directory if that has anything to do with it.

Then re-run the ExtAll inside MaNGoS\v#####\tools.
A lot of people miss the difference between 3.3.5 and 3.3.5a
lol my client is 3.3.5a i wouldnt be able to run another release i hav if it wasn't. and the extall.exe just opens and closes

The problem has been explained more than once in the forum and it is also in the docs! again if people would just read... but im sure your explination will be over looked just as mine and all the other posts. Maybee take a moment and use the search function, just a thought.

Well I'm afraid i have to disagree with you :D Not everithing is good about this repack :) it is bugged as hell :D but it is good for installing it in 5 minutes and run immediatly. Just to have a server on a very boring IT lesson :). Anyway, I'havent encountered any version of it's GUI that would have worked. Sometimes it started, but spammed errors. By the way i could handle it by running everything manually, but it was suck at first :D Now I don't even try to start the GUI but some people may do so it should be fixed.Your Error is telling you what the problem is just read mon ....

do u know if this mangos/amber can run on Microsoft Windows Server2008 R2 Enterprise.x64Integrated ?? coz i got this error at vmap_assembler.exe "The application has failed to start becouse its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log or use the command line sxstrace.exe tool for more detail"
